**Official 3DMark 'Fire Strike' Leaderboard**

I am banned!!! which is cool.
Your only banned because your parts run so cool lol. There should be a separate category for you 8 pack. Obviously it will be a bit of a lonely category. But, as gregster has said, this isnt a competition with a prize. Its a bit of fun. And btw 8 pack, good luck with your upcoming benches. I appreciate the advice/help you gave me with clocking my cpu.:)

Hope it's nothing serious and gets sorted soon, LTMatt.

I did have a few runs tonight, and I was able to improve on my last score. I am going to have to claim second spot for now, didn't quite hit first, but came within a whisker of doing so too.

I see im now top in the 670 graphics chart, jamesM (my gaming clan felllow member, cq247) was higher earlier today. Im so tempted to flash the 670 with the 1.21v bios mod, but at the same time im worried about making a mess and bricking my card. Mine does 1320/7560 on the stock bios with mvp disabled, would go higher with the mod. But im a little wary tbh.

Indeed mate, a brilliant thread here, lots of good natured competition, and more importantly comparison. Couldnt care less wether im top middle or bottom. But as im sure you know, a little bit of competitiveness does creep in to all of us.

Gaming, that is the true factor mate, that makes us all spend theese copious amounts of money, just so we can get a few extra frames with lots of eye candy. I primarily play bf3. And i like it to look good while playing it. (Im still rubbish at it though lol). Great thread, and your head must be fried keeping an eye on all the different results coming in. They seem to come in quicker than benefit claims.:D

setter

Very true, it's all a bit of fun but I'm sure there's nothing wrong with a little bit of competitiveness sometimes. :)

gregster

I take it the Nvidia Titan is officially confirmed now?

Very true Proto, bit of good natured competition can be a good laugh. Quite often in the gpu section on ocuk forums, things can get a little bit heated lol. Thankfully this thread has been great. gregster has done a hell of a job on tracking and correalating all the various results. If the forum had a rep system, it would have been pressed long ago by me.

The titan sounds very intriguing, but cant see me getting one. Lack of work and little disposable income mate. Im currently saving for a 3770k and another gtx 670.

Benching is fun Setter but gaming is where it's at. Not worth it if you are worried. You are top unless James does a run with the IGPU disabled.

+1

Its a bit of fun, once nvidia and AMD get their drivers sorted some of my old cards will be putting in an appearence. They have no change of comming anywhere but is still fun to run them.

I have to agree with you setter, gregster has been top class with this thread, same can be said of the other threads. It really adds to the enjoyment knowing that everything will be properly organised and any anomalies looked at. Don't think anyone else could handle it any better.

Also, I would think two 670s would probably be pretty close to Titan performance. Even though I do prefer single cards since I had a GTX 295, I know nvidia has come a long way with SLI and don't really hear many complaints.

Ive owned quite a few sli setups over my short time of pc gaming. It hasnt been perfect tbh. I had the following.

6800gt sli
7900gt sli
8800gts 640 sli
8800gts 512 sli
gtx 275 sli
gtx 470 sli

The worst were the 6800's, sli was in its infancy back then. Very good with the 275's and the 470's. Though the latter used a lot of power, and generated a lot of heat and noise.

I only ran SLI for a couple of series, this was with a pair of 8800GTX and GTX 280, and then the GTX 295. I wouldn't say it was a negative experience, but I moved more towards gaming and in the end ran the GTX 295 with one GPU disabled most of the time due to issues with the games I was playing.

I decided to throw some silly volts into my cpu to get it to 5.1GHz as my room is quite cold at the moment, so temps weren't an issue. I also then managed to get a little more out of the gpu by using the LN2 bios, overall I scored just under 200 points more and closed the gap on LTMatts 7970 score, which will be tough to beat.

Gregster, LTMatt should be listed as 2700k not 2500k. I was wondering how he got 3k more on the physics score with the same cpu lol

It can have a few little issues. Such as profiles for new released games. Another in the early days was micro stutter. Something i only experienced with 6800gt. The rest were great. Particularly 470 sli, clocked well. But very power hungry, noisy and hot. Benched them at 820mhz, (630 at stock) with an i7 920 @4.2ghz.

Thanks for the kind words Setter and Proto. Very much appreciated and I do make mistakes (the scores look a complete and utter mess when I type them out till I press save) but thankfully some eagle eyed peeps help me with those (Cheers Stoner :)).

I love competition and was looking forward to this bench but sadly the smelly AMD cards are cleaning up (some mistake surely?) :D:D:D but joking aside, I want to know what happened to the AMD driver devs? They are doing a great job and only making AMD look very good. Previous bad reps will soon be forgotten if they keep this up.

It good to see the Matrix Platinums getting the top scores on air, I wounder how well they will go when w/blocks are available.:D

Oh man, the blocks are out soon. You getting them? Should be pretty damn awesome!

When nvidia sort the drivers and they will, the green team will strike back. Look what happened on the Heaven 3 bench they came good in the end.:D

Im not sure yet, I am tempted as I have 3 Platinums and going for water will make it easy to get them in the case.
