Only till the end of the month! :D

I doubt the 290X will have the clocking potential of the Titans, not now the voltage on the Titans can be adjusted to what you want. Hopefully it will go toe to toe with the 780s though!

I've still not done anything with my 780, still rocking stock voltage :(

Yer, I imagine all change but I still see Titans at the top :D

Lazy man, pure lazy man :D

What is a little worrying with the new 280X is that you can overclock a Titan out of the box to run higher clocks without touching the bios.

I hope AMD do a bit better with the 290X.

Good Grief look at that, its hard to believe that i have double the GFX performance on my upper mid range GPU vs the last generations best.

Finding my feet but seems 1000Mhz and 1500Mhz mem is the highest it will allow in AB. Not a bad card at all and ideal for my Mrs to have a game of BF3 with me with the Humble Bundle version :D

Much higher than i managed with either of my 6950's which were both unlocked to 6970's. Pretty sure i couldn't get mine above 900mhz.

I had a Sapphire 6950, it would not do more than 970 / 1375, your lucky to get that one to what you have.

Ohhh, I guess it will do then :D

Just seems a little sluggish and the sliders were maxed in AB but I don't want to break it, as the fall back is an 8800GT, so will leave it where it is :D

Thanks for the info.

Edit:

1.25v and temps no higher than 60c. very impressed with the his cooler.

Because you unlocked it ;)
The 6950 and 6970 are not the same GPU, the 6970 came on a beefed up PCB, for a start it had 2 more power line pins than the 6950, unlocking a 6950 put strain on it that it was not designed for.

Mine wouldn't unlock, it was a latter one with the extra TMU's lasered off.

I think the average overclocking on the 69## series was about 880 to 940.

Just had a very quick blast with it on BF3 and it played very nicely. I might dl the BF4 beta and see how it fairs tonight.

I am very very impressed so far and going by its age, it has held up very well.

My old 6970 was great :D
Didn't overclock very well, i think 900mhz was top top, mine was a blower cooler mind and ran 85-90c most the time!!
