Guys n Gals, im running an EVGA GTX 260 SSC at the mo, is it worth moving up to a 5850? The HIS ones are in stock and it is soooo tempting? Im mainly playing Aion, COD4 (soon to be Modern Warfare 2)

If your screen res is 1920x1080 or greater yes, otherwise probably not.

someone has just modify the original bios using rbe. i don't think its msi own bios

Thats the resolution I run at. Using a new 32" Sony LCD as my main monitor.

I should hope it's the MSI one as it was posted by the MSI guy that writes them!

u look at it with rbe. it has a tick on (bios has been pre-modifed using RBE)

Garrett_Wu is the MSI rep, their unlocked 5870 bios said the same.

atiflash -f -p 0 xxxx.rom ?? or bin?

.rom although I don't think it matters. The force is to override the card ID or it won't flash.

flashed and run 3dmark06, 4.2ghz i7 and broke 25k
1020/1200.

Um should do, no reason why not. The card will need to reinstall as the ID has changed. Not the drivers or anything, it'll just detect afresh and you reboot etc.

No physx anymore but cpu back at 4.5Ghz for now. Core 1050, memory 1300
