****OFFICIAL AMD 6000 series overclocking and benchmark results thread****

I'm going to clock mine

Asus 6870

what should I expect on auto voltages?

Try 950/1150 - I suspect you will be fine there.
I can get mine up to 990/1150 (well 1160 but I wanted a comfort zone) on stock voltage and it seems stable unless pushed very very hard with a furmark extreme burn on loop.

I tried flashing those clocks to the bios using rbe 1.26 to edit them and a new version of atiflash to flash the rom however the drivers then fail to recognise the card and the monitor powers off when it should hit the desktop. I also tried lower and stock clocks via rbe and the same things happens so I think rbe currently has issues with 6800 clock adjustments. Fear not I could still boot to my usb stick and flash the card back so no harm was done lol.

Looks like maybe the minimum fps is not so good on the new cards in crossfire (5970 @ 950/1315) ??

Running 975/1150 it seems without issue

I should have my 6870 on tuesday but won't be doing any overclocking until i get my new case later on in the month. The best thing is the 6870 is free lol because my mate hates playing games with my 5770 so he bought me a 6870. Should be a nice upgrade from my 5770.

thats one nice friend :)

I didn't touch the default settings on the catalyst drivers but those results look fine to me mate.

Did another run.

We need to have a list of settings we will all use as its pointless making comparisons without the same settings.

I just did another run and set the tab to performance and got....

He's running stock and has 500mhz less on the cpu and still gets higher 2fps more minimum and 7fps max

He got less on the minimum by the looks of it.

I've not done two runs that come up with the exact same score yet btw - they all vary by a few points and if your min fps takes a dive at any point that will ruin your score. I'd honestly not worry about it I think your score is in the right ballpark and remember it's only a benchmark and not representative of actual gameplay.

I'll do a stock run now at 1080p for you and post the results - bear in mind im using the HIS bios on my card now so its runnig at 920/1120 stock..

I'll Post back in a minute.

Average score/fps is what matters in Unigine Heaven, I wouldn't trust minimums at all. When I'd been overclocking my 5850, I got variety of minimums but pretty constant average fps. Watch out for inconsistency of average fps, they might reflect an instability of your overclock.

Regarding Catalyst settings, the best ones to use when benching are default.

Here you go - using the latest hotfix drivers which as far as this benchmark goes are slower than the original 10.10's..
