Thought I'd take the initiative and start a thread for Drag Racing... If a mod could pull the threads about drag racing out of the Essential Android Apps thread and dump them all in here, that would be good :)
 
I bought the Veyron 16.4 (lvl 9) and although it is very fast in the qtr due to massive amounts of grip. I runs out of puff and I am losing to pretty much everything.
I should have bought the koenigsegg
 
I was going to start the exact same "Official Drag Racing Thread" (with stars, of course) yesterday :D

Glad someone else came up with the idea and dragged us out of the Essential Apps thread :)

I'm playing with my Koenigsegg now, useless at level 6 and 7 but destroys everything at level 8 when fully upgraded.

Currently rocking the RX-8 as I lost my saves from my Desire :(

Engine: Max
Turbo: Max
Exhaust: 2
Nitro: 3
Weight: Max
Whels: Max

Untouchable at level 2, start race redlining, wait for it to drop to 7krpm and shift to second, perfect shift to third + nitro, and perfect shift the rest of your way to complete victory :D

$58k and 46 RP, and I will keep at this til I can afford my beloved 599 again.

On a more positive note: is there any way to reset the game profile? I accidentally mistuned a Koenigsegg and lost a whole ton of respect - I'd rather start again than do 100+ online races.
 
Spent way to many hours on this game :D

Currently have a have half upgraded Koenigsegg, that wins about 50% of the time as I just cannot always get a good start.

Mistune as in you didn't mean to buy the tune upgrade, or just that you got the tuning levels wrong?

If the latter, why not just reset the tune?

I race with a level 8 Koenigsegg and win most races. The car isn't upgraded to the max either. As soon as you are at the start line, max the revs and when the flag drops immediately change into 3rd gear. You'll get less wheel spin and a faster start.
My best 1/2 mile currently sits at 11.908s.

Have you tuned the car yet?

I can do 11.9s in Drivers Battle but my car is only able to do just around 12s and is not fully upgraded as it would move it to class 9. I do win most of the races though.
 
Liquidfox is my name on this :)

11.489 is my quickest 1/2mile on Driver's battle. My Venom can only do around 12.2 at the minute, not anywhere near fully upgraded though :p

I keep racing a guy called Error:840 lol...

My car progression was Golf, Supra, M3, 599NR, Koenigsegg, Venom :) - that 599NR is a beast isn't it!! Wish I'd waited before getting the Koenigsegg as just after I bought it, the dev updated the game with a Zonda R in there!!! Damn him!! lol

I'm just slowly upgrading my Venom now, so if I see any of ya in there, I'll probably loose as I'm not very modded :(

My username on there is the same as it is here :)
 
What's the difference between buying upgrades, and hitting tune? I've gone and spent all my money before actually thinking about trying it lol.

edit... just hit tune on a cheaper car. Now I see I can tweak gear ratios and similar. Not sure why I've not tried that sooner, my 599NR is always bouncing off the rev limiter in 6th :p

I just downloaded and picked the dodge srt-4 for my first car. Upgraded between 2 or 3 on each section. Struggles Abit in anything other than easy in level 2 but will just save up now for an m3.
