***Official APB:Reloaded Beta Thread***

I quite liked the loading pages, some funky looking cars etc ;) ive tried to purge the rest of the game from memory though.
 
US-WEST Beta started today, invites went out this morning and the patch server is being hammered by the yanks. EU Wave 2 starts next week or whenever US-WEST have had their fill.

I'll post some photos that have been released of ingame in the image thread.
 
I wish that was the case :)

I just hold a love for the game, played it in beta and through to the end of its short life with RTW and had some immense fun with friends.

Just wanting to spread the APB love around the forum :)
 
Yep my inner masochist is happy.

Off to a good start, downloading using the Gamers First front end "because it makes downloads faster" apparently. Speed currently fluctuating between 40KB/s and 160 KB/s :(

I got my email at the weekend, still not downloaded it yet as not had the chance. Gives you the chance of the US or EU servers but as I guess it states servers aren't always running in the email I should go the EU route to save the time difference.
 
Im in and enjoying it again..Gypo didn't even realise you was a fellow OCUK member and we was in the same clan for a few months :)
The Beta seems what Realtime were aiming for with the final patch they had (they closed the day it was meant to come out) if gamersfirst live up to there promises i will be playing for a long time yet.
 
Just found an e-mail from Gamersfirst in my junk folder, no idea what that's about. Anyway, about to download the game now, is there anything I should know before I step into the world of APB?
 
Well i was in the first wave of the closed beta and unless there has been some drastic changes to things like car handling then its still not worth playing.
 
Indeed it does, but give it time as the US West Coast servers are -7h to the Uk so we wont see any activity until later this afternoon at the earliest.

Open beta build one will encorporate a lot of stability fixes for lag, drivers, crashing as well as a bit of balancing for weapons.
 
Necro, but is anybody playing this?

I've tried both a Crim and Enforcer on the EU servers and i've gotta say i'm enjoying Enforcer a bit more even though it does seem harder to earn cash. Anybody got any tips, can't say i've had the option to arrest anybody yet, unless i NEED to have a LTL weapon before i can?
