***Official Apple October 13 @ 18:00 BST iPhone Reveal Thread***

I think the iPhone 12 will be the pick of the bunch, unless they put something really compelling in the Pro versions.

While the standard Pro will be the least compelling, since it'll cost a lot more without having any kind of 'wow' difference.

Some bigger leaks hitting Mac Rumours now, so I'd stay away if you basically don't want to see everything that will be announced this evening, laid out bare.

I'd like to make the move to the biggest of the phones, but only if they have reduced the 'bezel' somewhat. Looking at an 11 looked like a fisher price toy to me, massive black border around the screen, i havent seen the pro versions though, did they have a better screen to body ratio?

They did indeed. The 11 had an LCD screen so it had more of a border but the Pros were OLED so had less of a border. All of the 12 lineup should be OLED so that means they should all be ok on that front.

I'm more interested in the 6.1" phones this time around. I always thought the XR/11 were the perfect size physically and they had a 6.1" LCD. Since the 12/12 Pro are 6.1" and OLED, in theory the screen should be the same size but the physical device should be a tad smaller.

New homepod looks quite nice and I might be tempted to get one for the kitchen.

Homepods are great for the kitchen if you have an apple music subscription. Siri is siri so borderline useless at times but really useful most of the time. I use it to play music, set timers etc while I cook which it is great for.

Echo/Nest are far better products than the terrible homepod. Only people who would even consider getting a homepod are the apple sheep

Everyone says that homepods sound pretty good, which is not an accusation you can level at Echo/Nest products. Either way, I don't particularly like having always-listening devices in my home.

My entire house is Nest and they are really, really good. I've had a HomePod but I don't like Apple Music vs Spotify so it didn't work for me. I also have 4 Sonos speakers for more power and those all use Google assistant, working seamlessly with Google home. I can't see myself moving away from them as much as I am an Apple fan.

The last part about Apple sheep is just trying to be provocative, there are many reasons someone may buy a HomePod.

I've not paid much attention to this one, as I was super disappointed at the September event it really knocked me for kilter this time haha. Looking forward ot it now it's the day.

Liking the blue colour, although no plans to upgrade from this 11 Pro Max for obvious reasons. No AirPods Studio leak yet?! I want some high quality wireless headphones with AirPod level functionality!

Cheers all

I loved my HomePod I just couldn't keep it because it couldn't stick as the main output source from my devices especially my Mac so everytime I had to change it. So I went back to wired.
