I decided to have a go with a Corsair Hydro H100. Room isn't a problem as I'm using a Corsair Obsidian 800D case.

I have a fan on my R3E, dont really need it but it doesnt make any noise.

They are there because these are meant to be extreme overclocking boards.

The RipJawsZ is 2400MHz and the RipJawsX is 1600MHz.

I have seen some PC3-17000 z @say £140 and the same PC3-1700 x @£285 with the same timings or very similar, and i wondered what was the big difference with the x stuff

edit:- it appears the x is 1.6v and the z is 1.65v other than that who knows !
