Official Asus Rampage IV Extreme Thread

Simulatorman when you planning to complete your build and see how that baby rocks? Would be interested to see how well you can overclock with the H100 cooling. Something I'm trying to decide now between custom cooling or the off the shelf variety which I would be much happier with.

Very nice components! What made you go for that particular memory? Any reviews? I can't seem to find the QVL for this board on Asus' website.

It's on the QVL list:

I might get this board... but what do you guys think will get the best OC's out of a 3930K and 3960X? Any advantages to the 3960 for OC-ing? I'd like to hit 5GHz... but this also has to be done with 32GB RAM installed. I'm going to go a little crazy with cooling.

Perfect - thank you! I couldn't find it on Asus' website, they just had a cooler QVL list when I last looked. I'll be joining you soon, albeit looking up from the lower domain of the 3930k...:D

EDIT - of course, I should have spotted that's a scan. Thanks for taking the time to upload it.
Also just noticed that F3-17000CL9Q-16GBXLD doesn't appear to be on G.skill's site, I can only think it's a typo on Asus' website - please correct me if anyone's seen this RAM around.

Sorry - just found it, hidden: G.Skill

F3-17000CL9Q-16GBXLD is a correct part number , a bit expensive though at £285

Considering putting together a build around a Rampage IV and a 3960x, so will be keeping an eye on this thread.
Was initially thinking of slapping them into a Corsair 800D with a H100, but the recent 800D with an EK H30 put together http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-035-OE&groupid=701&catid=7&subcat= is actually starting to look tempting. Probably better off hanging around the watercooling section for info, but does anyone have any opinion on this cooling setup, as I'm at the point where ease of setup is actually appealing.

;)
