I caught bits of the FP sessions on repeat during my working day but hard to get thoroughly into it. I wouldn’t deny Australia a slot in the calendar but I do find it bizarre that it’s the very first race. Kinda puts a downer on it that the whole of the main European base can’t watch it.

Alpine struggling would make my year, can't stand Briatore. I also hope Williams struggle as our main competitor is a big sponsor of theirs.

Traditionally, the first races have always been in the Southern hemisphere, for the simple reason that they're in the part of the year where it makes sense to hold races whilst Europe is still in Winter. It's only the past few years we've had the Middle East paying to have races there instead.
