What happened? Also whats a bolt action sniper like with a 4x?

Every time I put a 4x scope on it a huge black line just appeared on the screen like it was some kind of overheat with a graphics card on a PC. As for what it's like well, not bad to be honest but due to the none one shot one kill unless to the head and the slow reload of each bullet I would not recommend it unless your a good shot. The SVU is better if you want to go CQB with a sniper.

This 1.04 update just for PS3 ?? or for the 360 as well ?

From http://blogs.battlefield.ea.com

Last week saw the release of Battlefield Bad Company 2 version 1.03 on the PlayStation 3 worldwide, which you can read about here. An additional update went out in North America to bring the game up to version 1.04. That update will be available in Japan today (June 7th) and in Europe tomorrow (June 8th). Additionally game servers will be updated in each region as the update goes out to everyone.

An optional content update for the Xbox 360 will also be available on the 9th June. Though it is optional the update contains numerous gameplay tweaks. As such we highly recommend all players apply the update as soon as it is available. The update will be required to access future VIP Map Pack content. Players will be automatically prompted to download this update when they access the Multiplayer menu. You will need to restart Battlefield: Bad Company 2 for the update to take effect.

A VIP pass is not needed to utilise the update, however a VIP pass is required for access to the upcoming VIP Map Packs. VIP Codes are available through the in game store and inside all new copies of Battlefield Bad Company 2.

hi guys, I have the defib equipped and I can see like a "pulse" icon appear above some of my teammates sometimes, but when I use the defib on them, it says i'm shooting a friendly, how do I use the defib please?

Only when they're dead - you'll see a white lightning strike on the map where your fallen comrades are - squad members will have a green strike. It can be a bit of "find the body" as it's not always obvious. When you get near the body, you will see the same lightning strike symbol above them. It starts off strong but gradually fades as time runs out. Once it fades completely, they've respawned and you're too late. Once you have just get out your defrib and 'fire' at the body and they'll get back up. Also you can't revive people who commit suicide (or get run over - not sure about this one).

Haha, defib is used to revive, healthpacks are used to heal. :)

was gonna ask about them too, do you just throw them on the floor then your comrades can pick them up by just walking over them?

They don't get picked up. They have a finite amount of health "points" (which we cannot see) so they heal anybody near them until they expire these points or you throw a new pack down elsewhere.

There are two specialisations you can equip, one to heal quicker and one to increase the range of the pack so that teammates don't have to stand on top of them to be healed.

They have an effective radius which can be increased by using the unlocks you get as you progress through the Medic class, so anyone nearby will gradually regain health until it's used up/disappears. Same goes for ammo boxes.

You get more (double?) points for squad heals/revives, so keep an eye on that too.

am i right to assume similar for the engineer then, you just need to be near a friendly tank and it'll repair it without pressing anything?
