Have you tried reinstalling? Given the age of this game there will be a solution to your problem available online but you'll need to type something a bit more descriptive into Google...

Probably a PunkBuster anti cheat issue.

Search on how to update manually.

OK it seems like its cos i had the " remember password " box checked....so i tried to login without the box being checked and it worked

I have to admit, i hope the next installment in the battlefield series in BC3.

The bad company games always had more character/charm than the battlefield series

Though BF2 was simply the greatest FPS ever released.. what a masterpiece.

Not sure what's caused this, but this game has gone up in the thousands going off the steam charts. It was barely making 1000 players on Steam beforehand.

Definitely worth coming back to this game if you haven't already.

I always play this game, people are still playing it because it’s better than bf3 and 4 but not as good as bf2 imo. One of best maps I think is atacama desert on bc2.
