Available from the 5th March according to steam store m8
With EA download, can i re-download anytime or do i need to make a backup of the game files? If so, where do i find them to do so?
EDIT: currently downloading at 1.3MB/son a 20MB line
If you click on the settings box of the ea download manager, it tells you the directory as to where it downloads your data.
I'm currently throttled to 100kb a second on an 8MB line, think yourself very lucky
Had this email from the EA store aswell.
"Thank you for pre-ordering Battlefield Bad Company 2 Limited Edition. In preparation for the games release here is your code for your 6 items below. "
Is that just the weapon & item unlocks (tracer dart etc) and do you know if we will get the code for the day one DLC with our downloads from EA & Steam or is that code only going in the retail dvd games?? Apparently there are a couple of extra maps?

The 'release day patch' is free, as it's a patch with some added content juicyness as well
Re-preordered from game last night again, can't check my hotmail at college though so will have to wait until this evening to find out if it has gone through this time!
Still wondering whether I should bother playing it on my rig (see sig) or wait until I've fully upgraded, but that could take a couple of months
Hey guys, my 8800 GTX just died so i got a Radeon HD 5770 to replace it. Will i be able to play this game on nice graphics/fps with the following setup:
e2180 @ 2.9GHz
Radeon HD 5770
2gb ram
A bit worried my new card wont be able to keep up with my old 8800 GTX

its quite a bit faster than your old card your cpu will be the main worry but should be ok.get 2 gb more ram aswell

i would play your set up on 1280 res no higher should get about 30-40 fps solid
55- 80 is like hmmmmmm Still on XP as well so will have to stick to DX9 (great.......) but as two of my mates that were 'interested' in my system have now decided they can't afford it so I won't be starting a new rig from scratch as such, I'll likely order a 5850 and a new Case this month, swap that in for my 9800GT which should give enough 'umph' to get this going smoothly. I'll leave the other case in my study and start building into it with new components, i.e. get mobo cpu ram next month, PSU month after that along with w7 and possibly new hard drive. Still undecided whether to go Phenom 955 or i5 750 route yet though...

Got back home this morning and tried it - just for the hell of it and it started to do an update....got a bit excited! After it finished gave it a go....AND I GOT INTO THE GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Only single player initially as I didnt have a Serial Number/Code - but the single player worked. Then I checked my accout history at EA store and there was my serial code/number listed. Went back to the game logged it in and IT WORKED - name there from Beta, friends there from beta, game works muck better than beta FOV there in the games setting ini file. I dont have FRAPS or anything installed but my initial feeling is that this is way better optimised than the beta.
If you ordered from EA store as a direct download give it a try...Im off to play!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS - Go to EA Store and "check recent orders". Your Serial key (Unlock code) is in there.
