Just ordered from GAME for £22.49 (£2.50 off from reward points) for the Limited Edition version with free (2 working days) delivery, so hopefully should arrive on the Friday as it's a preorder, if not I can wait for that price :D

Would get it off steam, just I never trust their download servers - they always get too much traffic to handle and slow right down - and now hearing that they're getting a later release date makes me happy I didn't go down that route :D

Now to just get my next paycheck in for a PC that can really run this... :D :D

No you get those with every Limited Edition, same codes from the one I've ordered from GAME :)
 
Anyone had this email from game yet, mine not been debited or anything yet though.

Have seen this a couple of times on here today, where are people getting this info??

According to the BC2 store page on steam, it will unlock in 6 days, 6 hours, which will be 1am friday morning
 
The email came just before i posted above, i pre-ordered mine back in November but nothing taken out of my bank and mine still says pre-order on there site.

Ah right, I'd expect them to debit your account early next week then if they're still going to do it...

I'm actually buzzing about this, haven't been looking this forward to a game for a while :D
 
I ordered from Steam in the end.

Am I so sad that on release day, I am going to drive 30 miles into London to use my mates 50mg Virgin optic cable to dl the game and then drive home, as opposed to my 150kbps line here in the sticks? :o
 
I've heard from a reliable gsp source that the day 1 patch won't be out on day 1 but more like the 6th or 7th. The day 1 patch is a client / server patch that allows use of the admin application and until it's patched no admin.

This doesn't effect the DLC

20mb here, maybe my 50mb will be installed by the release date, i can pray :D
 
Received my e-mail earlier warning about heavy pre-orders, hoping I get mine in time for Friday - even though I won't be able to install it till 4pm...

Would try and get someone to install it for me in the house but that will go wrong!

I decided I'd rather have a physical copy from Game.co.uk , so decided to go about cancelling from EA.

Checked email, managed to log into my account after 15mins and to my horror there are two orders listen on my account for BF BC2.

So I spent the next 30mins trying to find how you get to use the live chat.. found it.. had to wait 30mins to speak to someone, and then finaly managed to get a cancellation (or so I thought!) they only deleted the one order, and not both like I requested :mad:

So I'm currently trying to contact them again! The annoying thing is, when I tried placing an order initialy on EA Store it failed, so I tried again and it went through. For some reason the failed order is showing on my account :confused:
