Can we preload this on Steam yet or do we have to wait for it to unlock? If I can preload it I will just to feel like I "have" the game, at present though steam doesn't seem to want to let me :(

I would expect so, cause even after installing the files remain in that folder. Will give it a go tonight when I get in.

Preload is available. Unlocks at 1am

You have the retail hard copy, and added it to steam?

Does it work?

As in you used your retail hard copy key into steam and it added it as if it was a steam purchased copy?

Look at your EADM settings, go to your cache location, there will be a folder under there named with you email address. In there find the bfbc2 folder, this is just a rip of the DVD, save this for future use.

Are you aying preload is available at 1am or that I can preload it now and unlock it at 1am with the key? If I can preload it please explain how, as the new steam UI has me all confused:confused:

Activated through EA/Dice to allow no disc. Not sure how as I have EA Store version.

Find it a bit useless actually as you have all the drawbacks of retail ('vulnerable' disc, having to find the media when you want to install) and digital activation (can't sell it, legally) but without the benefits of digital activation (downloading it on any computer without the need for a disk)
 
Got mine delivered first thing Wednesday morning. Great service that :)

Really enjoying the single player. It's heavily scripted like MW2 but great fun. Graphics are better than the BETA and the sound effects are just awesome :)

It's a little sluggish on my PC unfortunately, I guess I need a quad-core to smooth it out a bit. i7 upgrade me thinks :)
 
Patching my copy at the moment, picked online activation as i ruined my bf2142 always playing it from the disk, doesnt bother me about resell, as i rarely sell any of my games.
 
Anyone know if there is any servers up yet? I got mine this morning too - cant find any servers, I know the americans got it on tuesday cant even see them ones neither lol.
