Yeh thanks for the help...

I cant get a better connection, i cant get Virgin broadband in my area.

and i can tell you now BE internet is not good enough either, as thats what ive got now. 10mb down 1 mb up.

And you're complaining about this? I've been on the phone at least twice every week for the last 3 months trying to get BT to stop resetting my connection to 1.5Mb down/0.36Mb up. My own fault for going with Bt really, but every other provider in my area will still be limited to 8Mb, still suffer from BT's peak rate capping and won't give me anything above 0.5Mb connection because of the lies BT tell them. Worse still, there's no plans to unbundle my exchange at any time in the future - it's not like Thanet's that rural. BT make my life miserable.

Still, it could be worse. I have friends in Cornwall still on dial-up.

I managed to get myself of copy, sp mode has been really enjoyable. I havent try mp yet due to my busy schedule. I got 10mb with virgin media, hope it doesnt lag. I was really disappointed with OFP2.

Well ive decide im no longer gonna leave when im host.

Screw this game. Maybe the more people people that complain of lag the more they will finally implement dedi servers.

Really? It's not like they've responded to anything else. The general view on the IW boards is that the boards are there for people to vent in a controlled space.

That's why you're getting picked, you have an above average upload speed. Unless you have Virgin 50Mb cable I don't think you can get faster upload at the moment (in consumer terms before someone tries to be clever with some SDSL line or Uni connection).

Another head's up; According to the IW boards, various cheat/rage groups (The new generation of myg0t and JAPS if that means anything to you) have found a way to exploit the hidden dev console that you may have seen to infect users with a trojan and steal Steam accounts. Make sure your AV is up to date and running.

You actually mean "According to a bitter spotty 14 year old with no proof at all who is having a tantrum over Dedi servers and doesn't actually own the game there is an exploit blah blah blah" ...

I can somewhat confirm this. Avira detected what it thought was a 'trojan' in my User / AppData / Temp directory yesterday while I was hosting a game. Whether or not it's a real trojan I'm not sure though. Filename is TR/Crypt.XPACK.Gen or similar. See http://www.infinityward.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=181646.

Every report I've seen about this "Trojan" mentions Avira AV. Now either Avira has suddenly become the best peice of AV software overnight and every other AV has missed this "Trojan" or could it be Avira is simply reporting a false positive?
