Khal Drogo (Jason Momoa) is Conan?! Hes pretty lucky to play such awesome characters! Even if this new Conan movie will probably be terrible.

The trailer for this film actually gives the original comics and novels a very big nod. The lead actor even looks similar to the comic version of conan and is around the right size for it also.

I'm a massive fan of arnie films, but if you take the rose tinted goggles off, he couldn't act at all at the time of conan the barbarian being filmed. It was his first big break into hollywood and he was type cast due to his actual size

Really want to see this new take on the series though and I agree with the comment someone made about if the first film was made today, it would be exactly what is being released now.

I was actually talking it over with my wife the other day, as to when certain films would be put up for remake. Our conclusions after cautious callibrations: Matrix - 2022, ET -2034, Usual Suspects 2026, The Shinning 2029, Bambi (non XXX) 2051 ...

It takes one hell of an effort to make a worse film than one which is 20 years old starring Arnie........but they've managed it.

Give me Thulsa Doom over squid mask blokey any time.
