Hi all,

I thought it best to start an official MasterCase accessory thread that will be kept an eye on by CM staff so that you know your ideas are being listened to!

At heart, the MasterCase 5 advocates a new relationship that binds component makers and users closer together. Its elegantly smooth, flexible FreeForm Modular System supports multiple outlooks, allowing you to upgrade rather than entirely replace your case as your needs change over time. Go with either basic dual top handles and standard door of the MasterCase 5 or an elevated mesh top cover of the MasterCase Pro 5.

I will have a list of confirmed accessories at the top, and you all can post your suggestions for what we should be releasing for you all to use!

Confirmed accessories so far:

MasterCase 5 Window side panel - MSRP £TBC

MasterCase 5 HDD Cage 2-BAY (3.5”) - MSRP £TBC

MasterCase 5 HDD Cage 3-BAY (3.5”) - MSRP £TBC

MasterCase 5 SSD Pocket (2.5”) - MSRP £TBC

MasterCase 5 Top Cover Kit (Allows up to 240mm liquid cooling support in the top of MasterCase 5) - MSRP £TBC

Please post your ideas and suggestions below!

Motherboard VRM cooler.

If using Water CPU cooling the airflow over the Motherboard VRM Heat-Sync is lost, for people with overclocked high power consumption CPU's that can be a problem as with no airflow passing over them the Motherboards VRMs they can get too hot, this is not good for the lifespan of the board and can cause unstable overclocks, as well as heat bleed into the CPU socket.

Maybe a filtered funnel attachment that fits onto the top most GPU IO opening which opens up to a round hole where a 40mm fan is mounted to pull in cooler air to blow over the VRM Heat-Sync, the RAD or top exhaust fans would pull that warm air out again.

Just a thought. :)

How about a MasterCase MasterRace addon that fires missiles at console owners?

:D

Another vote for tempered glass side panels. I think the chassis in general looks really nice. I'd hope to see a Mastercase 7 in the future, a full-loop supporting rival to the 990D/enthoo primo with the same badass looks and large window (not sure about the feasibility of a tempered glass panel on a full tower case but I'd like to see it).

Yeah a glass panel that doesn't micro scratch when you try and wipe the dust of it with a brand new microfibre cloth would be good.

A panel (maybe with a illuminated Cooler Master logo if the side window is going to show that much off?) to hide the side view of the PSU+HDD chamber and two grommets for the SSD cable holes beneath the mobo tray.

Hi Stu,

The window side panels already come with a removable panel to cover up the PSU chamber :)

Do these cases accomodate e-atx?

Hi,

This version of the case does not.

With the Master Case series, the number represents the size rather than the features.

Hypothetically speaking, a 7 could be full tower and support eATX, with a 9 being ultra tower, while a 3 could be mATX and a 1 mITX.

Hypothetically of course ;)

does anyone know the hight of the 2 bay hard drive cage i need to find out as im buying one for a custom case build
