Although I've never tried the Viggen properly, I love flying the Harrier.

I don't fly Harrier often enough, but when I do it takes an hour or so to regain my muscle memory, but then everything works so nicely.

The Harrier is still one of my favourite modules. I was out knocking down bridges using MavFs with no targeting pod on Sat. DMT only

I've been getting back into dcs over the past month. Currently learning the Mig 21 bis such a fun plane to fly.
My main issue is I find it hard to spot air targets, to many hours in the F-16s great canopy has spoilt me!

I really need to learn how to flying my helicopters. I feel like I wasted my money on them as they are rarely used.

You should jump in your helicopters for sure. I now love flying the helo's, they really are stand out in DCS. The Hip is such a chill ride, especially flying in seat 2 with the doppler guiding me to the destination.

I never thought I'd be interested in choppers, all started with the Huey for slinging on the old DDCS server. Next thing you know I've got 5 of them (Apache, Huey, Hip, Hind, and Black Shark)

Not sure Condor would be for me.
Condor is a gateway. Gliders are an incredible experience in real life, incredibly cheap too. F-16 like frameless cockpit view, you can fly for hours and hundreds of miles - soar above the clouds, do aerobatics, fly at near 300 km/h... It's like magic :)
I love flying the Harrier.
+1 I miss the days before its FM was nerfed though, it's way underpowered now (-30% thrust?) https://forum.dcs.world/topic/317782-replicating-harrier-gr5av8b-records-3000m-6000m-12000m/

The Huey is what first got me into DCS.
I have the above and also the Chinook. Have to say that the Chinook is really not that engaging, certainly not like the HIP, which is always “interesting”.

Maybe I should give it a try. Does it have a VR option ?

Spend most of my FS2024 time flying gliders, it's actually a really nice change from my normal type of flying.

I have the KA-50 and the hind, I think I will learn the ka-50 as didn't find using atgm gun on the hind.
It feels easier to fly apart from snapping my rotors and sometimes I feel like I am fighting with the auto pilot features.

Well I caved and ordered the Moza AB6, figure if down the line I decide to build a FFB Rhino or something I can always sell it on via the members market but for now I'm looking forward to getting shot of the X56, should be here tomorrow :)
Didn't know they released another force feedback stick, please report back on how you find it. I was put off by the FB9 due to it's size, this looks much smaller it has desk mount.

I'll definitely be posting my feedback at some point, it's currently at the delivery depot so getting quite excited now, so long as they haven't sent me a box of rocks lol...

You're in for a treat if you've never used a force feedback joystick before! Older planes (F-14 and younger) can be flown without ever looking at the gauges - you just feel where the stall limit is. And then there are helicopters too... :)

Honestly, I've been flying sims since the ZXSpectrum, got my first analogue joystick specifically to fly Gunship 2000 on my Amiga and have had a Saitek X36F, X52Pro and currently the X56Rhino which I bought as I thought it would be better than the X52Pro (and I gave that away before the Rhino arrived like an utter fool, it was one of the early saitek ones and was great!) and it's been a thorn in my side for far too long. I hesitated to spend £400 on a stick but then considered that so long as it doesn't fail I will be using it for years so the money is well spent and I'd like to think I'm aware of just how much it's going to change my sim experience but suspect it's one of those things that is going to surprise me nonetheless.

I suspect my future is going to see me disabusing myself of that notion and selling the AB6 for a more powerful model be it the AB9, a self built FFB Beast/Rhino or something else and a replacement for my very old original Hoffman Simped Vario Pro rudder pedals to something with toe brakes and FFB too, and I'm not at all adverse to the idea of building a hexapod motion rig either, I just need to get a job before I start throwing too much money at it all

I've tried a bunch of different nonFFB sticks - Saitek, Virpil - and in the end always came back to my MSFFB2. I've not tried the bigger FFB bases and still not convinced that I need them. More ffb power= longer stick =bigger throw=more precision, but also far-far-far more faff. So FFB is a definite must imo, but sidestick may well be all we need. Enjoy your AB6!

Okay, have it connected and tested, all seems good so far, now on to configuring everything and hang on a moment, it's telling me I can get feedback in Elite Dangerous too, I was under the impression that was not a thing... anyway, I now need to learn how to make a basic mission again as I've completely forgotten how to do it in DCS so I can just do some practice take off and landings and mess around with the FFB.
