*****Official Deus Ex 3: Human Revolution discussion thread*****

Looks pretty good, it does seem to have that ultra shinyness that modern games seem to be so fond of.

Still on PC it has a chance of being good at least.

Bit better than previous trailers in that they've actually showed more than 3 seconds of gameplay footage in this one.

I get the feeling it's going to have no substance and play like a generic FPS with a "cover system"

Getting similar vibes too but I think it will still be a good game, just not the same calibre of Deus Ex.

I wonder having watched that how good (or bad) the AI will be.

"Damn, I was shooting at a guy now he's disappeared. Oh well, guess I'll stand here a bit and--- arrrrgh, my spleeen!"

And just pointing out for anyone who doesn't know yet, Keanu Reeves is the protagonist
OMG OMG OMG cant wait seriously proper actors, and a full star cast (hopefully) cant wait, awesome.

also i love the matrix style take on it.

Not sure Keanu is what I'd call a "proper actor" :p.

Still, I'm really looking forward to this. Deus Ex is probably the best game ever made.

Looking forward to this. Not too bothered about it being 'consolised' as Fallout 3 and Fallout: NV are and still are good games.

In fact, I cannot see, apart form changes in the inventory system, how it would make any difference.

However, it will probably lack the mystique of the first, the 'WTF?', head-spinning, back-stabbing, whoarethebadguys feel of the first. That is what made the game.

That is not a game-mechanics issue, it is just lack of new ideas.

Consolised means nothing really. I want the choices to feel natural and have significant consequences, while maintaining narrative. If the storyline is good enough the 'gameplay' only has to be competent.

What's this about Keanu being the protagonist? He sounds like the voice actor for Walton Symons!
