*** Official Dota 2 Thread ***

I'm pretty much only playing Random Draft game mode at the moment so I can enjoy some games without there being someone pubstomping with Skillbreaker.

It's gotten to the point where I'm missing the days of OP drow or pl, because at least there was a way to stop them.

I've been playing loads of Single Draft games recently, as I generally stick to the same 5-6 Hero's, this way it forces me to try out those I'd never normally pick :D

Pretty annoyed, last game we had had a jungle player did nothing to help any of us at all, then the opposite team dragged the game out to 50minutes.. when they could have taken it 20 minutes early.

It's a pretty fine line between jungle heroes farming too long and not assisting the team, and them coming out early when they're still weak and it depends on the hero/role.

Obviously if it's something like an Axe, you'd expect him constantly to be watching the nearby lanes and helping out. Similarly something like a Furion should be watching the whole map for cheap teleport kills. On the other hand, if you've got something like an Antimage who's transitioned into the jungle to make the most of his Battlefury, you've kinda gotta accept that you're not gonna see him in teamfights until at least the midgame.

So many games ruined by dc'ers. Wish it was a 24hr or more game ban for dc'ing.

What made it more annoying as people playing random draft, getting a hero playing for 2mins and going "hate this hero I quit" then dc'ing.

Morons, why play random in the first place

How many wins do you have? Sounds like its pretty low and you are playing with people who really don't give a **** about winning. Happened to me when I started, now a leaver is 1 in 200 games.

Yeah happened to me a lot, once you get like 60-100 wins you'll play with people who care about winning and won't leave.

Well, I'm completely immersed in this.

Sitting around 22-22 and trying to play as many heroes as possible, get to grips with their mechanics... But I've definitely got some favourites already.

Jungling Ursa, rushing for a Vlad, taking Rosh at level 8, snowballing into tarrasque/S&Y, then absolutely storming their high ground and just being unstoppable. I'm lucky to have started off playing with some really good guys that enjoy playing support, to allow these things.

Yes, no-one likes to play support, but everybody likes to win.

I'll play anything that is needed, most heroes I don't mind.. but anything with excessive micro is just a no for me, I'll play NP but I won't play Enchantress or Chen.. can't stand either of those.

I quite enjoy bane, he's very strong at level 6 for a support.. can easily solo lane vs two players and get a kill. Nightmare one, grip the second and then lifetap him when its done.. usually a kill :)

He is also great at shutting down the early game farm of a hard carry with enfeeble.

Makes last hitting a real challenge when they are doing little to no damage.
