yeah main one I use is via add-ons on PC. I use combat metrics: https://www.esoui.com/downloads/info1360-CombatMetrics.html It is pretty great, tells you your DPS, DPS % when in a group and lots more detailed stats. So in battle yesterday could see group DPS and my % of that and get an idea of everyone else's.

Without that, only way is to check by doing target practice on dummies. You need to craft them though and usually need to be higher level / a lot of material / gold, so usually most people will join a bigger guild and visit the "guild hall" I have a few in my home which I mentioned above and happy for people to visit and use. Though with that said, even then, its more of a method to refine your rotation and make sure you can sustain damage over a longer term then anything else, but it does provide dps report.

I think there is something called minion tool which makes working with add-on's easier, not used it myself, used to the manual route, but @dan958 has mentioned it a few times so may be able to advise.

I use minion. You tick want you want and it auto installs. It wasn't working until Nutty pointed out that in the details section each add-on requires some basic add-ons for them to function. I downloaded them last night (just ticked a few boxes). Will test today.

I will prob get the one you're recommending. I'd be curious to see how much damage I'm doing and try different builds on your dummies!

Yeah, I highly recommend using Minion. Makes installing addons and updating them really easy. (it allows you to update all your addons with 1 click), it is also very easy to set up https://minion.mmoui.com/

Just applied, can confirm this works!

Thank you for testing, I'm glad it works. Makes it a little easier to join. Although I do wish ESO had a 'Search Guild' function, seems rather silly that they don't.

I just joined too. Link that Dan posted worked for me too. Couldn't find the guild listed at all!!

I will be pretty poor in any group content for the moment. I have respec'd my character and I am currently learning the skills for sword and board. Also in my haste to respec I totally forgot that I didn't have a sword or shield or any heavy armour :D Stupid me!! So I am running around The Rift as a tank with medium armour, a sword and shield that were in my bank and badly out levelled and poor skills. Fun times!! :p:D

Will be back on around

yeah im trying to spec a scorcerer for one weapon to be damage, quick swap to healer

Plenty go that approach. In fact on all but the hardest content, doing a mix of damage and healing as a healer works better to help melt threats quicker as a healer build rather then someone with all healing skills on both bars.

Really odd, my mouse buttons suddenly just stopped working in game, couldn't select anything or chat. Will look into it tomorrow.

The dungeon was good though. Hopefully we can do another one tomorrow!!

You did fine as a tank!

Radox you disappeared before I could say thanks!

Guys if you add alts to the guild, do they count as distinct members? I have a few alts from when I last played the game in 2014. Could add them to the guild and that would give us 10 members. We could have guild bank then.

All characters are under the same userID. e.g. my user ID in game is @dan958, but have a bunch of characters within that ID.

You can also change your in-game-settings so that people userID is what your primarily see and you have to hover over their name to see their character name (where it is opposite by default I think). This is useful for pre-made trial groups, as if people have lots of alts, you are more likely to remember their userID for call outs. https://help.elderscrollsonline.com...e-display-of-character-name-and-userid-in-the

So there was nobody on last night, so I decided to grab a few surveys and treasure maps and go hunting.

Been saving every map/survey I found until I reached CP160.

Most of the items are junk though. But, if you are building a set from a specific area they might help with that. You do get a good haul of resources from the surveys.

Still undecided whether it was worth keeping them until CP 160 or using them as I found them. I guess for the surveys it might be good to use them if you are stuck for resources on a particular crafting level. But, if you hold onto them until CP160 then you get a ton of crafting mats for making CP160 gear.

Also, I am stuck on what to do with my Championship points. Been reading a ton of tank guides. The thing is I am not sure I want to go so deep into it and to have to reconfigure my points before every boss. All the guides spread the points around a lot. Whereas I want to use the points to bolster things that I think I am weak in. I am sure about where I want to put my points in the Warrior sections. But, for the Mage and the Thief sections I am undecided. I want to put my points into magic recovery and weapon damage.

It's driving me nuts :p:D

Yes I know what you mean. I keep going back and forth between builds. I think you need to decide your play style. PVP or PVE and how hardcore of a player you are. If you're casual then I would just make any build that makes it fun.

Probs as Buddy says, depends how hardcore you want to go. If your just doing a tank build for fun, or if your planning to run veteran / Hard mode dungeons in particular DLC ones.

If more casual and popping in and out of normal dungons then adding a bit more weapon damage at the expense of resistance and damage mitigation is okay.

Magic recovery though is usually important regardless for a tank, a lot of your good abilities will use magic in most instances (alongside stamina) to the point most tank builds will choose the atronach stone so rarely go wrong by putting points there.

I'm currently levelling clothing. Got the hang of daily writs now. I'm thinking I'll be able to make my own medium armour down the line.

Is it worth levelling another skill?

Its worth always levelling the branches via making potions / food / breaking down items all the way to level 50 IMO and always doing trait research when you can. While initially may not have enough points focusing on combat stuff, eventually be ideal to get some key perks. For example, extend time a potion remains active (nice for hard battles to aid recovery), or extend use of food / drink, make multiple items using same amount of items (i.e a single potion can eventually make 4 with right perks using exact same input items) and so on.
