**Official F1 2011 League thread**

You can see more view with T-cam than others in cockpit. Plus I was shocked the amount that were cutting the corners.

But how it effects your enjoyment, if you think you are on some sort of disadvantage then why don't you start playing with T-cam veiw as well. By the way Mr Fantastic play with cockpit view and still manage to beat everyone on most of the time.

V F i have seen a few posts like this by you please you have to understand not everyone wants to play the game the same as you. Its a racing GAME , the game bit is very important people tend to play games for enjoyment. Honestly the f1 game is not even close to being a simulation like game so i dont see why anyones experince would be tainted by using a different camera angle

Im still holding off for 2 - 3 weeks because lots of people having connection issues (me included)

I'm well aware it's a game but it's the only somewhat decent visually F1 game to play until rFactor 2 hits and it's mods. Perhaps I should go looking somewhere else if some people here just want to play it arcade style while the game takes care of their driving.

Of course it's not simulation but as I said above... Well it totally contradicts what you said for people to get to grips with no driver aids if everything is enabled to them as they see fit. ;)
Some people have even said they're trying to practice without driver aids but if they're always enabled, they'll use it. So they haven't adjusted. Plus you can't tell who has them on in the room.

I'd rather get beaten by people with decent car setups on a level playing field where they are doing all the driving by themselves than people that can just push a button and just steer while the game does it for them. I'm not trying to claim I'm some great driver. I'm far from it but I do expect fair rules.
So many people with wheels playing a F1 2011 game with ABS/TCS/a 3D racing line when the sport doesn't even use them. There should be a league where everything is banned. You don't see F1 drivers sitting above the cockpit or requiring ABS/TCS/3D lines and automatic gears to get them from point A to B.

It's totally sporadic. Some races can be completed without anyone dropping, then others a lot of people drop, including myself. It's damn right infuriating.

Only Codemasters can fix this. I'm still getting the problem with the ports forwarded just in case. Yet it proves it's not a router issue.

F1 2011 offers very little in variation between setups...

I am not an F1 driver - I just want to play the game and have fun in the process, for me, that involves some of the driving aids. Each to their own I guess.

You will be confused if you didn't read it. You playing it with driving aids makes it more so arcade.

A lot of people don't like rFactor due to the extensive car setups/time, having to be a donated members of some forums to play in leagues as well as to pay to play in leagues and other things...

I'd love to give this a go. I'm just getting back in to F1 this season and bought the game. Not really followed it for about 20 years! I'm not a big racing gamer either, but really enjoying F1 2011 and would like to race some real folks.

Is this on hold for the minute then? I've only raced online a couple of times and about a third of the drivers vanished, I'm guessing this is the issue.

Do you guys have races now and then anyway?

You don't see them working in Supermarkets or McDonalds either... they get paid lots of money to know the tracks, to drive an actual car. It's kinda silly to compare tbh.

VF, most of the races we are doing are practice for the league and to have some fun. There are plenty of good clean racing and some of it downright epic.

I absolutely own at a few tracks such as Catalunya and Budapest as I have set ups for these and I am generally good at high downforce tracks, but suck at others like Nuringburg as I don't have a set up. So having a good set up really helps. As far as I know, no one using 11/11.

Things like TC ABS etc will be banned, you will know they are banned as it will say so. I will never play with them on anyway, but I am ok with others doing so for now.

Things you cant control like cams I would just let people choose what they want. Even if you could somehow set it to cockpit only, people can mod it anyway.
 
Need to get the ball rolling with the time trial first (I think that is the plan?)? Definitely need to get the ball rolling, so post a date with enough time for everyone to prepare I guess. 29th is good for me.
