A range of game enhancements, split-screen and online multiplayer, plus new and returning game modes, delivers the most complete FORMULA ONE experience in videogame history.

NEW Classic Content

Hot Lap Gameplay
Need a little more than just the trailer above? Well we've got two Hot Lap videos of Silverstone and Nürburgring featuring in game footage of F1 2013 and commentary from Anthony Davidson.

Expanded Young Driver Test
Based on the real world event, the Young Driver Test based at Abu Dhabi’s Yas Marina, where young drivers set out to earn a drive in FORMULA ONE, is expanded and tuned to ease novice players into the world of FORMULA ONE. Day One will use tutorials and explanatory videos to get new players quickly racing competitively. Day Two sets a series of increasingly demanding challenges, inviting repeat plays as gamers set to improve their score and master elite driving techniques, and unlock further race seats for their career.

Mid-Session Saves
Mid-session saves allows players to experience a complete long race weekend at their own pace rather than commit the 180 minutes plus session time required to complete a race weekend in one go.

Grand Prix Mode Returns
F1 2013 reinstates the Single Player Championship Mode. Players can once again step into the shoes of their favourite driver and race in a single race or complete a full or custom FORMULA ONE season in the pursuit of racing glory.

Full RaceNet Integration
Codemasters’ free Community Hub RaceNet will extend players’ FORMULA 1 experience in the game and beyond the box. F1 2012 launched with RaceNet in beta mode and has already seen over 36 million races completed by registered members. In F1 2013, RaceNet which launched in full with GRID 2™, will offer connected players regular in-game challenges, scenarios, community-wide challenges, visual stats and game progress updates to compare with their friends. Access for players is free via desktop, mobile or via dedicated apps allowing players to stay connected to their F1 2013: CLASSIC EDITION experience, and their progress in other Codemasters racing games, wherever they are.

Codemasters fail again. You'd hope they would include the classic F1 cars and tracks in the standard game, so they can get actually add some value to these every so slightly improved yearly releases.

Still the same rubbish sound... think I'll pass.

hate to say it but im falling rapidly out of love with codies. Grid 2 is diabolical and I cant see this being any more of an improvement over 2012.

I would love to see them employ a subscription based service for the franchise.

pay for a base package then pay a fee each season to get the updates etc. rather than having to pay for 'wheel nut DLC'

Crammond's Grand Prix 2 is over 17 years old and it has yet to be bettered by any other racing game.

The resources Codies have yet they choose to churn out console arcade games year after year :(

I'm starting to find this. They've gone from the developer making some great games, to making a great number of rubbish games that wants your money every five seconds.

I played Grand Prix 2 religiously when I was younger :p Very cool driving game :) I actually quite enjoyed Grand Prix 4 when I could get it to work properly :p

Having two different "editions" of the game is such a cop out - Just a big middle finger to all the F1 gaming fans. I'm sick of having to pay extra for what should have been included in the original game in the first place... Why has this become acceptable in the last few years? :/

Oh the dilemma!

F1 2010...pretty poor, with complete lack of support.
F1 2011...very hesitantly bought, better but still very buggy. Modded to 2012 season and actually played a little.
F1 2012...no thanks but most people say it wasn't bad and made decent progress.
Grid 2...looked terrible and avoided
F1 2013...tempted...

Cashcow Codi£$ strike again!

I'll never buy a racer by them at full price again after what they have done in the last 10 years or so (since Collin McRae 2), I bought Grid in the Steam sale at £2.49 and the handling is crazy, its as if every car comes with F1 super soft slicks and so can take corners far quicker then real life. Not to mention the brakes which slow you down to <100kph from beyond the 50m corner marker board!

I've been wanting them to do this for ages (same with most sports games, to be honest - the current release model is becoming outdated as faster internet connections become more accessible). I would also hope that by separating the core game from the seasonal content, it means that you wouldn't find people wanting to play through older seasons left with an abandoned buggy mess, as F1 2010 and 2011 currently are (though I realise this is never likely to happen).

Loving how Gerhard Berger is considered "Legendary", whereas Alain Prost is only "Famous":D Which one of them won the championship 4 times?

The old stuff sounds interesting, although whether worth another full price game,I doubt. Plus chances are, knowing Codies, the car handling for the 80s car will be the same as for the 2013 ones.

The colour filter they've put on the classic cars/tracks is horrible. Not buying it if it stays like that... Also ruined cockpit cam by making it move around so much.

Even though F1 2012 improved handling greatly, I just didn't play it much. They need to inject something new into this game. Won't be picking this one up, at least not until it is in the bargain bin.

Played 2010 liked it, Played 2011 much fun online with friends, Played about 3 hours tops on 2012 & thought meh.

This looks more of the same. Codemasters have really gone down the drain in my opinion. What are they thinking with the different versions too, That is complete rubbish. Don't think i'll bother this year.

First one - was pre ordered couldnt wait for it.
second one - was a bit warry, but pre-ordered anyway.
Third one- No chance of buying it, terrible devs with a terrible PR team one who comes on here sometimes. I hate the hood and id love to punch that smug face of his.

I've gone from Just take my money to I wouldn't give you my money if you was lying in a gutter dying. Well done codemaster. You had a licence to print money but with constant lies. Poor AI, greed and all round lazyness its really let you down.

If there's one studio i would like to see go bust its these guys they sure as hell deserve it. What there doing to F1 is sacrileges.
