**** Official Fallout 76 Thread ****

RNG is a lie, the game just hates me lol.

When we used to farm the bot in raid room 1 I would get all the crap of the day while darth would be hiding behind a pillar pulling 4* mods all over the place, then he called me jammy because after 300 times of doing this room I pulled the jetpack for the new armour. I recon all in all I probably did a couple of thousand of room 1 to his 5-600 and he got way more good stuff from it than me.

I honestly believe there is a guy sat there with a "beep is getting nothing" switch on his pc so yes RNG is a lie.

Ah well, bring on the festive scorched eh flib ;)

Yup... It's kinda insane how much the RNG just relentlessly shafts people. For me, the RNG is just "**** that guy in particular!* option that has been enabled.

Oh, those jingly MF's are going to die in droves! That'll teach them for being jolly.... humbug I say... HUMBUG!

I fired this up today for the first time in about 2 years.

Still had my character and all my stuff, but started a new game for the time being as I need to learn the game again.

I still have my super rare enclave plasma rifle on my main it seems.

What's the best non power armour build these days? I'm pretty sure it was a "junkies" build I had, I don't like power armour in Fallout games.

Gotta admit though it's fun walking around just grabbing basic stuff, it also feels like they have improved the latency.

All the perks have changed so much in the last 2 years they have nerfed & tweaked so much best you find your own build put as much as you can into INT, STR, END the mutations see what's left!

Yes its got slightly better since launch.....in early December they are adding another free new area (Burning Springs-which you can even beta test now on Steam) to the bottom far left of the map! To tie into Season 2 of the Fallout TV show as they add the Ghoul character and have hired Walton Goggins to play him & provide some voice over work!

Bethesda still make their money on this from all the Atom shop purchases & Fallout 1st subs. It can get as many as 20-30K concurrent players on Steam around the TV Show launch so is still very active...I suspect Bethesda are going to keep drip feeding the cosmetic Atom shop items for a few more years as it must be quite lucrative to them!

Holy crap you are not joking.

They removed the rifleman/commando etc perks.

Any suggestions for a non power armour, small guns (using a plasma rifle) build?

I was using junkies I can see that can give 100% damage bonus now if you can get 10 addictions?

I seem to remember you could only get about 6 addictions before, but I might be wrong?

Without the rifleman/commando perk I'm doing no damage lol.

I remember now I was trying to get a full set of "overeaters" SS armour as that gives you a flat damage reduction, I got 2 left to do.

Man it's slowly starting to flood back but I still feel properly overwhelmed jumping back in on my old account.

Can't help much with the build as I've been off for a couple of months now and mine was getting a bit messy when I took a break. I thought the perks were basically still there but more spread out and renamed, I was running an EPR and a dodgy plasma that was fixed last patch.

If you are on tonight though I could drop you some overeater mod boxes, you know now you can craft these after learning them now? I'm pretty sure I can craft them and quite a lot of others if you need any for guns etc.

Hung_Solo. (the dot is there) is my IGN, I'll try to get on around 8 tonight....if I can remember how to do any of this stuff now lol. Failing that I can be on at 12.30 this afternoon on my lunch break.

They got renamed & moved plus you have the super perks you can select 5 of those!

I am still running a melee build as I can get around 1200-1500 DMG per weapon swing....LOL that takes most things down fast!
 
@BeeP

Thanks for the offer mate I play at really wierd times (for example about 5:30am to 7am today) or basically whenever I get a chance, but I wont be around much today.
