Better formation players are more expensive. I find it better to pay extra for the players already using the formation I want instead of getting them at lower prices and then trying to arse around finding the right formation cards and then if it's a popular one trying to outbid other people at the same time as making sure you don't pay over the odds...

I wouldn't play Schweinsteiger as a defensive midfielder, you should buy Ballack for that as he is much better. Frings is a good back up player to have at defensive mid too. I would put Schweinsteiger as a CAM or a CM depending on formation, definitely not RAM or LAM because he doesn't have any pace and he is wasted being converted to a striker becaise his best assets are his set piece ability and his passing ability. :)
 
Hmm Scweinsteiger does seem to be going for a lot tonight, just try a search every now & again for a bayern Munchen German CM w/ max buyout @ 5k, he'lll turn up :)

But as said, play ballack at CDM over Scwein.

I'm loving Gomez, during playing WC2010 I wouldn't give him a chance over klose, but in this, he just seems better, faster, better shooting, almost as good in the air..

As for Lahm, not sure, I bought him a while back, wasn't expensive.

I think mine was 9,000 with a load of contracts and 4-1-2-1-2

As for strikers/forwards you have your choice of:

Podolski
Klose
Kiessling
Gomez
Schieber
Helmes (awesome in the air)

There's others but they aren't as good. There's some decent strikers who aren't German but do play in the Bundesliga as well, I've got in form Novakovic who's pretty good, plays for Cologne. Kevin Kuranyi is German and plays for one of the Russian sides, can't remember which one though he isn't really worth signing anyway, I never bother signing Ivica Olic either because I don't think he offers anything that my other forwards don't have.
 
Just picked up Aguero for a change to replace Luis Fabiano in my Spanish league team, bit faster, better ball control, hopefully him an benzema can do the big man little man offensive roles well!
 
If you are doing bundesliga aswell as german you can also have Dzeko (Wolfsburg one) hes quite good and can now get him for cheap with him being at man city
 
Haha, just gone into my watched list. Saw a load of grey players, tried removing them, it wouldn't let me, it appears I won them and didn't know :D

Nilmar is one of them. Shame he has no place
