well, for IF Rooney i got 1,850,000 + IF Tevez, and i just sold tevez for 650k so i got 2.5mill for rooney, made over 500k on him! and thats after tax, couldnt ask for a better night.

going to stick to fps in future, football is just too frustrating. im gonna give it another go tomorrow, if i get 1 cheater thats it, the game is done.

The game annoys me too, I think I've sold and re-bought it about 4 times now, sometimes I feel like trading it in again but I know if I do I'll be watching football on TV and have a massive urge to play it so for that reason I've kept it.
 
Had a funny game last in. In the final of one of the tournaments (the 1k one), and I ran into the best team I've ever seen. He had 6 IF players, including Ibrahimovic, Ozil, Silva, Lucio (I think) and others, as well as standard Ronaldo. I had my La Liga team, with the new pairing of Villa and Forlan up front. He dominated possession, but every time he scored, I'd go up the other end and equalise. He took the lead 3-2 with about 10 mins to go, and spent the last 10 mins keeping hold of the ball and trying to hit me on the break. In injury time I snatched the ball, knocked it to Villa, hit a 1-2 with Forlan, and went clean through to equalise. He was so angry he rage quit on me, despite still being level. I laughed so hard I nearly hurt myself :D
 
well, i kinda had a overdose of coffee this morning, and i can report that i havnt had any sleep :( hahaha

sorted my team though, just looking for the last couple of peices to my team :) then i shall show.

ive spent 3.2mil upto now this morning, got another couple more to buy yet, just having trouble finding them!

ive played 4 games with my brand new team, and won them all, 1 more for the trophy cabinet :p.

As much as I really want to use this Arsenal team I can't. I made a mistake and bought all the players in a formation that I now hate, I don't know if I can be bothered with the faffing around of selling the players and then re-buying them in the formation I want so I think I'll just sell them and try something else. For the record the formation I'm using is 4-3-1-2 and it's dreadful. There's no defensive midfielder to cover the back 4 so any time you lose the ball the opponent is right at your defensive line, not only this but the defenders are pulled apart way too easily and setting to ultra defence seems to do absolutely nothing as my midfield maintains just as high a line as they do on all out attack. I want to go back to 4-1-2-1-2, but the formation cards are just too expensive so I guess I'll be selling up and starting with a different team.

Liverpool seem quite good?

Oh my... very nice indeed mate, lucky you! The best players I have ever had from a pack and sold for:

John Terry - 13k
David Silva - 18k
Someone else I can't remember - around 20k

I bought 2 packs last night, 1 paid for, 1 for 25k coins. I got sod all :(

Just 1 IF player in my UT11 lifetime would make me :D

Are the formation cards really necessary? I tried my La Liga team in a 4-1-2-1-2 formation last night, and still have 100 chemistry with them, despite none of them having that as their preferred formation. Does having the right formation make a big difference?

I don't know how big the difference is but when I try and play with players who have red formation things they are never where I expect them to be and they don't pass as well or make very good runs. Might just be in my head but I'm wondering why they would put formation cards in the game if they don't make any difference.

I'm so stubborn I'd never give in. In the PES6 old days I think I left my 360 on for three days just so the other guy didn't get the win.

I've never uncounted this lag thing on the 360

Yeah, that would make sense. I've not tried playing around with the formations much so not really spotted any difference.

what formation are they?
 
What are people's thoughts on the quality of opponents in UT? The reason I ask is that in the 15 or so online games I've played so far, I've lost 3 of them, 1 of which was on pens, the other 2 by a solitary goal. As I've not played Fifa online much at all, I honestly expected to find a lot of players to be a lot better than me and to give me a proper hammering (which I don't mind generally as it can make you a better player). Either I'm much better than I thought I would be (possible), or I've just not run into any amazing opponents yet (also possible). Who on here is considered really good? Tim, Andy, Jake? I fancy testing myself against someone I know is really good so I can see how good I actually am.

Yeah I think it is! I'm waiting for a fairly priced 4-1-2-1-2 Lloris, and also a Lovrens (Lyon CB) in the same formation, I've got him in a 4-5-1 but my extreme cleanliness is frustrated that he has a dark green formation when all the other players have a light green one. :p
