Mate, just cause I have a few good players does not turn me into some sort of Fifa God, I'm pretty sure I'd still end up in the bottom 1/4 of the league! I'm just in these kind of things for the fun, not to compete, cause I know, in most cases, I can't

But with a worse team, you'd be worse. So, because you have one of the best teams (around here anyway),you'd be more inclined towards UT

I've seen Silver player only leagues run on other sites. Might be easier for everyone to build that sort of squad up for a league?

A UT League could work, so long as there were restrictions put in place on the teams.

And not ones like 'You can only have a 3 star team' - People can just stick in Ronaldo with some randoms then

Yeah exactly and if people are going to say only silver players only etc people will have to sell players to fund for new ones!

Yep. So I'd rather just do a normal FIFA 11 club league. Stick everyone in a hat and draw out Prem teams or something?

the way me and my cousins normally play is random, you go to the team screen, go to the top bit (country) and keep pressing square, until you get a team which has at least 80 in 1 of the 3 fields.

this way you could get real madrid, chelsea or sevilla, napoli, etc.

you would have to get 1 person to do it though for every guy on here and hope he is trustworthy.

this way all teams are relatively even, whereas there are some 4 star teams in the EPL.

would also include teams from different leagues, etc as well

Yeah, no-one is gonna trust anyone for that job. Well. I wouldn't expect so anyway.

A better way to do it would be to have 2 different people take a list of those wanting to play, and a list of agreed teams.
One person randomises the list of players (random.org) and the other randomises the list of teams. Then we match the two together.

The best bit is that random.org let you save the list, so you can prove it's not been tampered with. And you just get the two lists to be randomised at the same time. Simple.

It's been done several times before; RuMp3l & Andy have both ran cups/leagues - I'm sure they can comment further on the hassle.

Parts of the problems are; you end up with an absolutely terrible team because Fifa's star ratings is mad or you get a team that's 4 star but should be far more - it creates tons of moaning and people don't want to play as their teams.

Another problem is when you have around 25 players or so like we had before, it's hard to get everyone to play all their games because people play really late, certain days etc. Smaller groups and going into Round Robin may work.

I can't remember the last time everyone played all their games and an actual champion was crowned that couldn't be disputed because 'such and such hasnt played all their games though' etc.

well the list of agreed teams would be all teams which have at least 80 in 1 of the 3 fields

att , mid and def

i think i know most of them anyway, im not on xbox though, otherwise i would have helped out.

atletico madrid for example are 84-79-79 or something like that, so they would be included.

This would be a worse way of doing it than what we used to do which was select all the teams from 1 star rating.

Teams would be more unbalanced and the whining would ensue.

lol 1 star is crap, they cant pass, shoot or anything.

if your good enough at the game i could beat anyone with napoli who have like a 75 rating for defense.

why not make the first rule, if your going to whine, then you will automatically be kicked out of the league.

these are the rules now like them or lump them.

Apologies for the confusion, I meant as in we picked from the one star rating bracket - it was pretty much always 4 star that we went from.

I'm not really sure what your 'good enough at the game' comment is supposed to mean if i'm honest, just seems like an attempt to show off but I reckon the majority of players on here wouldn't play if team selections were chosen how you say, seems a very unfair and odd way.

I'd also be surprised if you went & won 30 or so games with Napoli against Chelsea, RM, Barca etc.

oh right yeah 4 start would be good, but as you say im sure theres some 4 star teams which are actually 4.5 star in disguise.

we used to play 4 star but it became boring, so we do 80+ now for at least 1 field.

it makes the games a lot more interesting. i think the fairest way would be let anyone choose any team.

so real madrid can play against real madrid, etc but then you would have to have a manual league where you update it in an excel spreadsheet online.

only let 1 or 2 people on here have access to said spreadsheet.

and you have to play everyone 2 times, once home and once away.
