*** Official FIFA 11 Thread ***

OK Im heading in the right way - just purchased Van Persie as my left footer with Saha as backup - really need to gut my team now though as it feels I have backup of backups for little reason - anyone out of these lot I really should keep/get rid of - all are setup as 4222?

GK - Lloris, Adler
LB - Abidal, Capdevila, Taiwo
CB - Naldo, Djourou, Kompany, Cris
RB - Richards, Torosidis, Fanni, Hengbart
CDM - Cambiasso, Vidal, Zokora, Diaby (CM), Jones
CAM - Hulk (RW), Hamsik, Nene, Danny, Elano, Honda
ST - Van Persie, Niang, Adebayor, Balotelli, Gignac, Briand, Saha

My first team is underlined and Im looking to get rid off the ones in bold already - what else is should I trade? I pretty much like tall, pacy players and not restricted myself yet regards league/nation yet (already done that with my Villa squad). I know chemistry is important, but like trying out new players and see how they suit my style - problem now is that Im guessing I need to look 10k+ for replacement players now...

Ive just raged against Bevy!!! I would tackle and 9/10 the tackle would go to one of his players even though mine where right next to the ball. Reina kept doing god nos what. Jumping on beach balls by the looks of things so I got ****ed off. Me being ****ed and annoyed dont go well together so it was either rage or throw an xbox across the room

No word of a lie. Five minutes in to that game the mrs comes through and tells me i need to kill a spider. So she got to sit and watch the first half.

Had to deliberately avoid a cut back shot when i shot with Ronaldo. Took discipline :p

Still well played mate.

Edit: Chiellini is LCB, not Nesta now :)

As pointed out by Andy during our match, as good as Rossi is, he is very attacking and doesn't cover his wing well in defense, time will tell, but things are going well so far, hat trick for Ronnie last match, just a trouble deciding between him & Maicon for free kicks now!

the difference between a super team and a super power house team would be that i can afford to spend whatever i like on the less important positions.

i play 4-2-2-2 just simply because 41212 is too expensive, there are only 2 formations in the game i get on with and its these 2.

in a 4-2-2-2 you have:

ST - ST

CAM - CAM

CDM - CDM

LB-CB-CB-RB

GK

now the important positions are both cb's, both cdm's and both st's. all my coins get ploughed into those area's. i skimp on LB and RB and CAM's and GK's.

for example in my Serie A team both my ST's cost roughly 60K each when i bought them so 120K on 2 strikers. the combined cost of my LB, RB and 2 CAM's is about 5K.

now if i want to improve my LB i need 100K, to improve my RB i need a further 100K, to improve 1 of my CAM's i need 150K. so basically in order to make it into a super powerhouse team i need another 350K for 3 players or for that 350K i could build another super team.

players i want to are IF Lavezzi to replace normal lavezzi in CAM
maicon to replace santon
palermo lb to replace de ceglie (i had him but sold him for 50K he is now worth 100K)

IF hamsik might be worth a try in my other CAM position, but i need to know what his full stats are before even thinking about him, i dont think he has the skills or both feet that menez has and menez is the best player you can buy sub 1K in the game, he is better than david silva or UP nasri.

then later on i will go for

my current first team which will remain near enough the same throughout the changes to my 2nd team is

(i need silva in second team to go with alves/maicon so i will switch him with IF Gamberini for an all italian backline, but he stays in my first team whilst i get the coins to build this new 2nd team)

after i have my new hybrid second team i will be selling this team off, hopefully for enough to make IF Lavezzi possible.

I need to get that team played. Always hate coming up against Maicon aswell.
 
Selling EPL team whilst im out to fund new Hybrid, got a couple of IF's to sell as well from bundesliga so 40K from there as well.

now Looking at

just wondering if Kaka is worth it over UP Ozil, really depends on how good his finesse shot is, if its good he will be great if not, ill sell to get Ozil and use him for crosses.

I was thinking since i will have a lot of brazilians, i might as well try and save up for a third squad - brazilians, but i never liked them in a 4222, but i have never had kaka/maicon/IF Gustavo before so they may make the difference this time.

i hate the way chemistry works in this game, otherwise i could have a much better CDM than assuncao but he is the only one which fits the bill, unless i get flamini and put cambiasso beside him, the only question is, who is better assuncao or flamini as a CDM?
