I switched over from Fifa 10 to WC 2010 on its release. a lot of the problems with Fifa 10 where resolved and WC 2010 is a much better game, and has already implement personality + to a degree, particularly passing accuracy and goalkeepers. Fifa 10 will never be played again due to the ease in which you make a through ball and the keeper automatically come steaming out, that made the game ridiculously easy to win... master lobbing the keeper and you win..
Im in my 6th season as Division 1 player
WC 2010. For the last 2 months my win ratio has increased greatly and my consistancy is very high.
I switched from PES to Fifa 10 last year so this is the first time I have heard about morale.. I have to say; although I have no doubt that what you say is right, I have not ever found anything that hinders my ability to win games. I have never had a scenario where I have been completely outplayed.. dont get me wrong, I used to lose heavily when I first started playing, but those days are gone
.
There are fundamental tactics when playing that make so much more of a difference to the way in which you play that can be much more advatageous or leave you at a disadvantage than any morale system. When I play FIFA WORLD CUP online mode, players of all divisions are lumped in to the same competition, Within 30 seconds of playing someone I know whether they have these basic skill qualities to make it a game, or whether they are going to get run over... and if they dont have these skills, high morale or not, they are going to get beat. As far as Im concerned the winner of this game is the guy who makes the least mistakes... it has nothing to do with morale, once you accept this you will improve and will not make excuses.. (
I hope that last sentence didn't come across as arrogant but people can get in there own way by getting frustrated, when they just need to improve their abilities to win games)
Looking forward to this game a lot, would love to give you a game
Psycho Sonny. My friend employ's the same tactics of playing speed demons... and swears by it. He is a great FIFA 10 player and is at a very high level, so you are definately both onto something... but for me defending, is the true art of the game. Closing people down and cutting off there ability to create space and make good passes is where the game is won and lost. I love it when I come across players who are throwing the kitchen sink at me only to turn in to 11 Vinny Jones's and try to hack me down with every tackle due to their frustration... excellent...
sounds like you know what your doing. ive started to nail the game down big time. im now finding if i cross the ball and the player it is going to is free, rather than heading it like i used to and only scoring 25% of the headers, im now chesting it down and scoring 90% of them. headers are my weakest part of the game, before i could only score 1 header for every 10 games played, i can now score 1 in every 2/3 games played but i still miss most of my heading chances.
most of my goals come from free kicks, 1 on 1's, cut backs and long shots.
mistakes are what costs you, and i usually change the way my squad plays depending on the other guys formation and players to help cut down on the chance of a mistake costing me.
if the other guy has 3 forwards, i will play defensive and counter, otherwise i will play normal and use the wings. the wings are my greatest weapon, combined with fast strikers. if im using a slow player i will do skill moves in order to go past players, pace is a big aspect of the game, but so is skill and decision making.
before i would never do high through balls, until i started playing doubles, my cousin would constantly shout at me for not doing a high through ball when he was running clear (on side) and attempting a normal through ball and it gets cut out.
high through balls are lethal, they get you one on one with the keeper and 90% of the time its a goal. i have mastered most aspects of the game apart from heading, if i could get that nailed i would be a force to come up against.
i play left footed strikers on the right and right footed strikers on the left. this makes cutting in and curling it so much easier (a la robben and messi in real life), i have found that rarely do i ever get a chance with the right foot on the right side with a striker, i do get them with wingers though so i still play right foot on right side and left foot on left side.
knowing the players is just as big a part of the game as is knowing how to play the game.
ronaldhino is slow but i know he is strong and passing second to none, therefore i can use him to play ridiculous passes or hold off players rather than trying to go past them. if however kaka is on the ball, i will use his pace to sprint into spaces and shoot long distance. robhino is small and gets bullied easily, therefore he cannot play as a striker, the defenders just push him off the ball 9 times out of 10. i know all there strengths and weaknesses, what foot they use, if they can turn with the ball or not. pato cannot turn with the ball, even if you play him a through ball he sometimes stops the ball then goes, therefore he is best used in space and with no defender near him, fabiano on the other hand has amazing turning, even if a defender is near him he can out turn the defender and usually hold them off to either score or set up a goal.
me and my cousins usually play this game every time i go round to their house, they are all good players and playing with them has made me a better player. 1 of them used to be unbeatable and he used to win every tournament we played, i can now outplay him. he is terrible at doubles though for some reason.
im on the PS3, ill be getting fifa 11, i'll add you guys once ive had a few practice games to get used to all this new stuff (personalty plus being the main one). once i have figured it out, i should give you all a good game, i never quit, but i did have problems with my router cutting me off, new router has sorted that, it took me 8 months to figure out it was the router, i never had problems with psn just fifa online.
