Packs are a terrible way to make money I find. When I first started I pinned my hopes on finding an IF or rare decent player to sell with which I could fund my team. It just doesn't work.

I only buy packs now because I can't be bothered changing my side on the off chance I do get someone decent.

I make money best when I build a side to sell. For example, I had an idea of building a Copa America based side. Got halfway through, got bored, sold them all and made a profit. Players are where the cash is - picking up cheap Aguero or Eto'o and so on and selling them.
 
Depends on how lucky you are, when the BBVA TOTY was out and the happyhour was x2 a chance to get one, I got Iniesta, Pique, Augero x2, Abidal and 2 lesser TOTY players that I cannot remember, all from 10 packs.

Before that out of 30 or 40 packs I got IF Hernandez!

If you get a lucky streak you are laughing.
 
Lame. Just played a guy that had Ronaldo, Messi, Xavi, Ineista, Ozil, Aguero. Lost 4-2 but 3 of his goals were from pens that I've never seen given in other games. I hardly even touched him but he got a pen? Glitch?

Then he scored from a freekick with Ronnie, Buffon catched it in his hands but his standing up animation put the ball behind the line. :/

He wasn't shy of sending me abuse through out the game either. He was really bad for having those players.
 
Skill passes (back heels, inside heal etc) which are normally contextual and random can now be done with R2 and x (LT and A). Looks awesome but abit overpowered.

Pc version actually better than console imo. Click my sig for more Fifa12 info. Will also answer any questions i can. Playing it till around 5ish.
 
PC version for 12 is the same as console you say? Even with TUT? Not sure how well TUT would be on pc though.

Hows the announcing? I always listen to music when playing Fifa. Can't stand Andy Gray.

i dont think they will get andy gray to do it again after the whole sacking saga, but they just use the same commentary from previous years and add bits here and there, so you never know.
 
Its Alan Smith and Martin Tyler. And the ITV commentators rumoured to be added via DLC.UT will be in PC version. Seriously the PC version is amazing. I played that all day and only ps3 and xbox a couple of times.
 
The impact engine is awesome. Still abit buggy but some of the tackles are stunning and bone crunching! I am probably getting it on PC now. Its actually a proper port now, but smoother and much quicker loading. Im not sure what the UT market will be like on the PC though.
 
Playing a lot of this on xbox atm and can't do tricks at all.

Also opponents keep scoring crosses against me but I can't do the same - halp.

Any videos of the impact engine? Proper in game video, not the trailer.

Did you find players get tackled more? Did it slow down the pace of the game? I could see that being a problem.

What about tall/strong players vs weaker players. Does this come into effect? I've seen Messi shoulder barge his way through defenders like Richards and Kompany.
 
Anyone know of decent Brazil CDMs? Decided to drop the hybrid and go for a Brazil team, only really had Cambiasso, Aguero and Milito featured in my main squad anyway. Should mean less head scratching when I want to try new people.

Im guessing its a choice of IF Gustavo, TOTY Ramires and IF Motta, though Motta goes for silly money - any others to pair up with TOTY Hernanes?

Up front Im hoping a IF Fabiano and TOTY Pato partnership will work - Pato just suits me down to the ground so whomever Ive tried I just prefer him...

I like the regular Ramires. Not tried Gustavo.

Motta is ok, but not very Brazillian if that makes sense. He doesn't seem to have a great impact on the game. He's tall but doesn't seem to win many headers, can't shoot for toffee and he's a but slow.

Ramires I find gets in the box or around it and has plenty of strength and pace. I usually play him, TOTY Hernanes and IF Alex either side of him.

Which Alex do you use? I was considering IF Alex before I got TOTY Nene - be great to hear an account of all three of those and how you play them - I really need someone to win headers and is a capable passer with some pace - a Brazilian Cambiasso...
