*** Official FIFA 11 Thread ***

My bro in law played against a side better than that last night I'd say. It had better chemistry and people in the right positions.

It was 4-1-2-1-2 with IF Drog / Van Persie up front. VDV behind, IF Ronado LM, IF Robben RM and a mix of IF Spanish / German defenders with IF Neuer in goal.

The guy wasn't all that good to be honest, but VDV was shooting from 35 yds out and causing all sorts of trouble. Drogba just blasted past any of the back 4 and muscled anyone off the ball. Absolutely frightening.
 
Sigh. Guys with amazing teams then fill the benches with low bronzes as to be matched up against weaker teams. :(
 
people who usually have the best players are crap at the game, i beat someone with IF Drogba and IF Rooney when they were both 3 million each, that's 6 million just on strikers, my team at the time was roughly 100K.

i also find that people with insane teams, got them through scamming people, the amount of times i have seen someone with a good squad, send me a message saying, hey, do you want your players duplicated is insane, i usually tell them to duplicate my **** in their mothers vajay-jay

i know someone with a serie a squad which cost like 50K and i struggle against him sometimes (mine is worth 8 times that easy), its more about how good you are at the game, yeah the players make a difference, but as said before TOTY Nesta rated 87 and like 93 in game, is outdone by UP Mexes (82) / UP Silva (84).

My mates told me the worst player sold for something like 20k as people wanted him as he reduced your overall! :D

I like stringing them along for as long as possible with retarded questions when they offer to duplicate my IF Rooney. :p "How do I do trade offers again?" "Can you explain how to find your player?" "My search won't work properly" etc etc.

Had one going for over 2 days, had a new message every time I signed into PSN. :D
 
what i dont understand though is, do these people then only use 1 team? and buy fitness cards after every game?

how much does a team +10 fitness card cost? surely its in the thousands?

i cant be bothered with all that, i like to tell them to shove it, so they get the point.

the last guy who tried it on me was a leicester city fan, he had lcfc in his name.

i called him a thieving scouser, knowing he would take the bait thinking that i thought his name said lfc and people hate it when you get their club wrong, especially if the other club is a lot better.

he got really mad, and sent me about 10 messages lol, i replied in each one with something along the lines of, "but you must be a scouser, because your thieving peoples cards and coins", he was mad, lol, the abuse he suffered from me, evens out all the people he robbed.

I did that once with a guy that tried to make me sign into his account so I could get his team for free. He gave me his gmail and password. I just ended up logging into his gmail account and changing the password. Once he found out I did this he was begging me to give him his gmail account back. lol. The idiot was using that gmail for other things and signing up to fifa forums ect.

Want to get back into UT again but I'd have to sell both my old teams to get anywhere near the funds for a new one!

Why would he even do that? How could he possibly scam you that way? :p

i had a scottish guy try it on me once, after he got all friendly with me and talked to me for about 10 messages first about where i was from, etc, they are from everywhere, my bro was even telling me guys at his school do it, even to other people from their school (he is 14).

there was a story i heard on how to get them at their own trick, find a rare bronze player who is cheap, buy all the different versions of him in the same formation, then send the scammer one of them and say you want 2 copies made in the same formation, etc, tell the scammer after he makes 2 copies of the bronze, you will give him 50K plus your best players to copy 2 times each. stick the 2 copies of the bronze you bought in the same formation up for 10K each. make sure there are no others though. scammer buys your bronzes in hope of collecting 50K and your best players. you tell him what you did, and thank him for the 20K.
 
Not bad. He might recognize your club name, but I guess he would be so excited he would buy them without noticing! :D
 
Have a lot stopped playing this then? So hard to sell players nowadays, used to be able to change a team in a night, now it takes days :(
