I went yesterday and I must say thanks to Overclockers for the amazing amount of freebies that were given out. I acknowledged that I was a forum member and was given a really smart Antec screwdriver set and then went on to bag a 8Gb flash drive and an assortment of pens pads and other doodahs. I have to say tho that getting some poor guys to compete for a CPU cooler by doing press ups was plain mean
.
Anyway I took some pics, which are nowhere near as good as the other ones featured but give an idea of some of the other stuff at the show
The following was a rubiks cube machine that looked like it should solve the puzzle by scanning the sides and doing the appropriate moves, bit it kept spitting it out when the bloke fed it in.
I was starangely drawn to the retro zone (no ZX Spectrum on display which was a shame).
I had this actual games machine in the 70s when I was a kid, the closest thing we had to a PS3
Some nice cars, with impressive sound systems to boot -
Don't know if this Dalek is an actual prop, has been built outside the show or simply purchased from somewhere - I did hear somewhere that you could buy one if you wanted - looked pretty good anyway.
Some cars being driven around, not sure why
Couple of not very good shots from the super theatre - Suzi Perry looked great in the shorts - shame she has left the TV show.
My current PC game of choice -
To finish a couple of more shots from the OclUK stand.
Overall a great day, really enjoyed it, met some nice people and saw some great products.
Now its back to my humdrum existence, I've got to mow the lawn and get some food shopping in
