Im starting to get worried about no email now :(

Your ticket order definitely went through my end mate!

Go to http://www.seetickets.com/see/content_tracker.asp and enter your reference number and email address to check order.

Also i remembered you used hotmail for email right? they seem to receive confirmation late for some reason, they did in 2005 and it by the looks of it the same this year.

:)

EDIT: It seems the seetickets tracker is no good unless you have already received your email.

No e-mail here yet either. Not too worried. My flatmate went to the last Glastonbury and he says he didnt get the e-mail until after the 24 hours even. :)

I haven't either. Apparently they all start to filter through, more or less, at once. So when one person gets theirs we all *should*.

I'm not sure thats true. It seems they're coming in slowly, according to when you ordered. People who ordered first, when the server wasnt as busy, got them sooner, then those that ordered during the "most" busy time are taking longer. They seem to be coming in in dribs and drabs, looking at other boards.

Still, it is only a matter of time :D

my sister tried all morning and didnt get tickets, all her friends did. shes sad lol.
crap system, the webserver packed it in under the pressure

In what way is it a bad system? If the web server worked perfectly then the people who could type the fastest would get tickets. Surely that would be an awful system.

no. thatd be a fair system. first come first served, whats wrong with that. anyway i was referring to the fact that they hadnt anticipated greater user load and prepared for it.

I think it's silly to use a single ticket agent for an event such as this. It's obvious that however SeeTickets prepared for this, they weren't going to be able to cope with all the traffic.

You would exclude large proportions of society, thats what is wrong with the idea. Essentially nearly everyone who would get tickets would work with computers, since they can type much faster than anyone else. Your basically saying a fair way of deciding who gets tickets is to make them all participate in a typing race, giving tickets to the winners. People who dont have good computer skills would have next to no chance. Hardly 'fair' is it.

I thought seetickets did a pretty good job this year. Once you 'get in' the website works fine, which is a massive improvement on 4 years ago when I would get to the page, fill in my details only for it to then fail - meaning I had to type them all in again.

Having multiple suppliers would probably be very difficult to work together with their pre-registration process. It looked to me as though it was checking whether a code had already been used in another order, which just wouldn't be practical with multiple suppliers (you would end up having to have a central server somewhere for synchronization).

I finally got my confirmation email at 21:33 yesterday which is reassuring. Everyone else got their emails now?

I also think Seetickets did quite well, especially compared to previous shambles!

The thing i find wierd though is my 'main' PC wasn't able to get through to the site once, yet my daughters old rig was able to put through 16 orders. Very odd.

No worries matey

Naffa, you checked in your Hotmail junk folder buddy?

I think it's about as fair as it can get, given the circumstances,. A lot of people are calling for a lottery system which would just be rubbish. I say stick with the way it is, but the scandal where people could get on and then repeatedly buy tickets was a bit cheeky to say the least!!

Anyway I'm happy as I got em, who else did?

I think the system at the moment is a lottery. i think its 'mainly' down to luck if you through or not.

The system obviously worked well because all the tickets sold in under 2hrs.

I have been very lucky on the ticket front this year... got take that (for my GF honest guv) too :D
