Really struggling at the minute.

Mission 5 , scrambled cross com , little or no cover , 2 ada's to take out and almost invisible enemies.

Tried loads of different approach tactics and none have worked.

Any tips?

Go the left route, take the side out first, be prone the whole time - i just shot the guys i could see, when people shot back at me i used the bullets to determine where they was coming from, took em all out and then blew the things up
 
Anyone else read through the manual?

I've noticed loads of errors relating to the default controls, e.g referring to using 'Y' for Night vision, 'X' for switching through weapons etc.

They also refer to the analogue sticks as the bumpers (which are the LB and RB buttons).

Must have been a bad day in the intel office :p
 
Only played the game for about 2 hours. I think it's one of those games you need to RTFM and have a bit of peace and quiet top enjoy it, which, been the weekend, I don't have at the moment.

Can't wait to get into it though, from what I've played it certainly looks intense and a thinky-shooty kinda game.

All this fuss and not played it since Thursday! lol
 
well, the controls get easier (I really stuggled for the first few missions) but the game gets harder lol. I'm stuck on the same bit as vandle at the moment.
 
I'm stuck on mission 5 atm...




the fact that I find it impossible to get past the helicopter bit and touch down without already being on yellow health is difficult but then when I get to the hud scrambling section I'm just at a loss, so hard to pick people out even using night vision and trying all different routes, I hate to think what my health will be on when I do get past this section...am I missing something is there a way to replenish your health or do I really have to do this entire level with hardly any hp from the start???
 
im stuck on the bit where u got to protect VIP2 and u have swarms of enemies an APC and a tank at ure door step! How the hell do u get pass the tank? i get strike on it but it dont seem to blow the tank up then im left running around trying to escape a tank cannon and keep all my team alive it seems impossible to get past!

How u do it?

I was on the same bit , see a few posts up.
Done it after 6 or 7 attempts , you cant replenish your health.

Cover. Just keep your head down (the tank stays in the same place more or less), and order the Apache to take it down. The Apache will have to circle around to get a shot so you may have to wait a short while.
 
ive been going mad at this game cos of that stupid tank, i never realised u had to go across in ya cross com thing and select the chopper to take out the tank :rolleyes: Ive been on this level for ages and ive got to the same point a million times!
 
I think mine's stuck on a bug...I'm at the bit in the first mission where I get to control a drone for the first time and have to find ramirez. The drone won't fly over the building on the toip right corner (with the yellow box) which was his last known position. Is this where people found him and then zoomed in with the appropriate control?

Prob gonna restart the mission I think as not that far in to it...see if that helps.

Im stuck on that mission to, I was messing about not thinking I would make it to the section where the hud gets scrabled, I was just jumping about grenading people before that then completed the section and it saved lol, now I have red health and need to blow up the 2 things, tried like 5 times now, will have a fresh bash tomorrow.

Press the right trigger (trigger 2 not the main left trigger) to scan the area, this had me stuck too.
 
This game is freakin sweet, although play time has been evenly split with FN ;)

One question hopefully someone can answer:

Can you order your guys individually?? Im on the VIP2 mission & it would be really handy to split the team up into different positions
 
stoom dont think u can split them up individually but i found the best thing to do was as soon as it starts order them behind the block of concrete in the center u want them in the middle so the blue circles telling em to go there are in a kinda triangle and make em go into assualt mode. Then i go off to the right hand wall and i take out the cars there with some grens and try and pick off the soldiers coming in. When the apc turns up run back to the centre (ull have to run and slide) and all ure guys are out of the way so u can sit in on the end nicely :D then order the attack on APC and ya men can take it out quick!

Just watch for the left hand side u get cheeky soldiers going down that way and they are pretty much side on
