***Official GTAV PC Thread*** [Important warning updated in the OP]

Think I'll come back to this for a bash, bored of BF4 and The Division now.

Do you guys open lobby or private now? I haven't done online in a while and the last time I kept getting knocked out by aliens dropping on me head.
 
Going back to the game after 5 months last night, realised the only vehicles I have are a sticker bombed smart car thingy and a akuma.

I need money again lol - tried to do some insane jump races with wanderer, it didn't end well lol

Not sure about tonight, when I left this morning the internet was down and by all reports my area is still down. Hopefully though.
 
Really enjoying these new races, even the trolling and spinning people out is fun.

Full lobby races are chaos!

Most enjoyable, for those who know me and my hatred of being nudged in GTAO this is very odd that I am enjoying it so much.
 
Dropped a clanger last night,

Didn't remove the dinput8.dll (native trainer for SP) file from my GTAV folder before booting up the game. Got into online spent 2mins in there before it crashed (due to the dinput8.dll).

Had an email this morning from R* saying about a EULA violation and a ban, I get that I had game files in the root that could be seen to show me as an online modder etc

Anyone know how long/which bits I will be banned from? I've never had this before.

Lesson to all, make sure you either use a mod manager, remove the file or face a possible temp(?) ban from GTAO.

Feel like a total idiot now, was enjoying the online races.
 
Yeah I am very annoyed at myself for not using a mod manager, just totally forgot to remove the dinput file.

Oh well I'll ride the ban safe in the knowledge I didn't hack or money drop etc!
 
Jesus R* really are clamping down, that ban page is funny as hell to read!

I'm not going to bother redownloading this, online was never great for me, races were fun but the rest was just micro-transaction heaven.

I've done the SP about 6 times now. Roll on GTAV VI
 
Does it have to be Steam? You could always add it as a non-steam game.

Think it was around £20 in the last Steam sale, not sure when then next one is but it'll probably be in it again.
 
Think I'm banned from online due to having reshade and a trainer running and accidental going online - it kicked me after 20 seconds but got x2 retrospective bans from it.

Also many GBs worth of download.
