I sometimes think they should just do this on the Saturday and the Indy 500 race the Sunday of the same weekend... place looks empty!
If I hear "Biggest spectacle in Motorsport" again I'm going to have to mute it!

Some of the stuff there is just tradition for traditions sake. Don't have a million practice sessions for any other oval race.
Problem is it's such a massive complex there could be 30,000 there today and it would look like 2 men and a dog.

That was not a surprise.Pole position for……Palou
To be fair it is the single largest attended venue event in the world, and not just motor racing. It holds nigh on 400000 people for the Indy 500.
It did annoy me when one of the commentators stated that Penske was probably the best known racing team in the world. I suspect Ferrari (and 1 or 2 other F1 teams) would like a word or two on that.
