***Official Intel Haswell Thread***

I would say 5ghz the norm if its a soldered die

If so, would be a worthy upgrade for those on Ivy imho.

If can do 5Ghz 24/7 and stable, I would consider the switch to Haswell myself, could save me a lot of money instead of going to 49XX CPU.. Hmm.

How long till reviews go live? All this change in leaks, one minute it looks dire, the next it looks golden lol.

This is gonna be one expensive year, Consoles, GPU's, CPU's, Phone's

Yeah idle voltages and max clock with ht disabled just to get into windows. Promising nontheless. Yeah, probably nit worth it for those on ivy and possibly Sandy but the clock for clock speed Vs Bloomfield is going to be significant with the bonus of much better thermals and power efficiency!

...me talking my way into getting Haswell!

I am more interested to know if it is Intel Burn Test stable at 5GHz @0.904V

Edit: Somehow that pic on the Box is giving me the creeps and is making me sick.

Sexy looking board and good find on the vid. I've got one of GB's ultra durable X58's now and its been really solid so I'll be looking closely at this one when the full review's arrive.

^^ Gigabyte Mobo's my fav to use, 3 of our PC's here all Gigabyte, Really solid boards, regular bios updates aswell.

Did you see the other Haswell 4770K tests? Temps seem to be an issue with Haswell just like Ivy. Hoping that it's all fud, otherwise the CPU performance is looking a bit meh for a new range..

I guess I should be happy my 3960X stays at the top for longer (:

Yep and agreed. Conflicting stories make me unsure about Haswell right now. If temps are an issue at release I might go 3960X as well. There are just to many unknown's to make a good decision atm.

You can't make a informed, educated decision until you have all the facts. That will not be until the NDA is lifted.
