Yep, i was possibly looking at buying one secondhand in the next few days, now that im on sli gtx 670's. Though ill give it a blast with a single card too. For sli, a cpu with ht does benefit as i found with my old i7 920 and gtx 470 sli.
if you bench them properly i still say you gunna see next too nothing in increase
thing is id wait cause bf4 beta should be here soonish and then bf3 will be dead and if its better optimized it maybe a waste fullstop as bf3 does perform the same across a lot of cpus within 1 fps.
i suppose if you pick a second hand one up for not too much more it maybe worth it .
At idle theyre at 29 and 24c, in game 75 and 60c. Using the stock auto fan setting. Havent had a chance to test and clock the new one on it's own to see how it compares to my original. Both currently at stock, need to sort out a better fan profile, tbh due to working late ive barely got time to play about with them much.Hows the temps, clocks and performance of those babies?
@Dg, played bf3 briefly last night, gpu usage maxed at about 85%, (single card always at 99%). Albeit my cpu and ram are at stock at present. So once oc'd usage per card may rise slightly.

The not-so-great AKA regular chips will be sold through OEM lines, as you cannot open a retail box and sell it on as retail. They're factory sealed, 8 Pack will go through OEM chips and find the best ones.
Retailers cannot use an item then sell it as new so this wouldn't be an issue, IIRC the high binned ones go in the highly overclocked systems and the "normal" performance ones go in the regular systems.
Not this again!!! I only bin CPU's that are stocked for systems. You buy a retail chip its never been touched or an OEM on the site = same!!!
Chips are here those boards arrive next week. They will be ready for launch.
I am sure this would change dramatically if these pretested chips where 4.8ghz-5ghz with 2800IMC. If I put my two LN2 benching 3770K CPU that do 5.2ghz air with DDR2800 on members market they would sell within 5 mins.
