***Official Ivybridge Overclock Thread***

Any idea why mine isnt down clocking? speedstep is enabled, voltage goes up when under load, tried different bios , setting it to default ,still same.

using a gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H

My Effort

my sandybridge set up died.. the board screwed itself up so here is my first tinker, set voltage at 1.28v (haven't tried lower) on a MSI Z77 MPOWER...tested on latest prime stress test for 2.5 hours or there abouts here are the results!

24/7 for whatever the user desires!!!!. HT is off as I am testing for a specific reason that does not benefit from having HT on. I did briefly test with HT on and its equally as stable.

5.5 goodness!! DDR is nearly 2600 mhz too with BLK of 107.9! the IMC is strong in this one!!:D

Prime!!!!

Ive gotta z77 mobo and 3570K to 4.6ghz but need at least 1.332 vcore to get stable I guess I got a bad draw from the silicon lottery.

Quick, noob question here but what is the stock vcore for a 3570k? Is it 1.2v?

it depends on each cpu, some will be high/some low

just look in the bios at stock clocks/setting and see how much is being used for cpu voltage

in windows it will be higher as loadline calibration and offset will add extra cpu voltage

Tried the following earlier. Ran it for an hour without issues.

vcore, 1.2900, (1.272 @load, llc on high)
pll, 1.65v
dram, 1.57500.
vccsa, 1.01875

Not yet illuz, baby steps here lol. Finding this a bit trickier than my previous x58 setup, straight in at 4ghz on it with relative ease. 4.2 with a bit of tweaking. The heat jumps quite substantially with ib once the voltage increases.

Gonna add another touch of vcore, give bf3 a quick blast. At least p95 running for an hour or so is a sign of some progress.

Dont think id have the cahonies to delid either, i once lapped a q6600 and tbh i was wary of even doing that.
