***Official Ivybridge Overclock Thread***

ahah Im running my system off of my SSD atm thankfully Ive got a 2TB external for everything thats not OS :) so far I love my IB build xD

yeah Im loving ivy too :)

Yeah i am loving mine too! I came from a E8400 so its a massive improvement for me!

I cant believe how well the IB chip performed in Fallout New Vegas! I had it on high settings and got between 20-40 frames a second with around 25 being the sweet spot.

ahah :) I came from an E6500. really cheap system I only made last march but it was dying on me. Once this build is finished it would have come to a toasty 1.5K~ but will be worth every penny obviously :D

Yeah I brought my SSD, hard drives & monitor across from my old build so that kept costs lower than they potentially would have been.

My 7970 will be going in tomorrow so I am looking forward to seeing how well that performs in BF3 and Skyrim with mods, but I am very impressed with how well the onboard GPU performs on the Ivy chip.

I can load Skyrim on Low settings with the HD4000 graphics. But I really need to get my ENGT240 to work so I can have proper graphics again. Getting a 670 next month I think but really need something between that xD I had to buy the SSD after I found out the Extreme6 doesn't have IDE where as the Extreme4 does *facepalm*

huh sitting at about 15% load whilst only browsing the internet. That's not right surely?

Do you have something chugging along in the background? Web browsing for me means about 2 - 5% CPU usage. Normal activity means 21 - 31 degC for the CPU (Antec Khuler 620), and that's running at 3.8GHz with Intel turbo.

Nothing else but windows live messenger. A lot of background process' but it all looks like normal stuff to me. Couldn't just be firefox being a dick and being resource heavy could it?
