*** Official Kodi (née XBMC) Thread ***

Has DTS and Dolby Digital been fixed yet through HDMI or has it been removed for playback. When I play videos my AV receiver doesn't change to DTS or Dolby Digital. I have tried all settings such as changing to pass through but nothing works. Yet in old version of XBMC 12 it works fine:confused:
 
Hey all.

I have kodi/xbmc latest beta4 anyhow i ordered a new 50" tv today and i was thinking of streaming if i can xbmc from my bedroom pc to the living room where the new tv will be. What are my options. I have heard of some success with chromecast doing it kinda but i think it stutters or somit tho the vids i saw on utube discussing it was from earlier this year so dunno how it is nowadays with the stream desktop beta thing.

Would the amazon fire stick if cheap enough work better do u think and will it be supported as in work somehow to stream from pc from one room to tv in another room ok? Thought they were out by now but cant find it on amazon site.

Other methods? I dont wana have to use cables due to the doors between rooms and all that hastle so streaming it would need to be the method.

What i stream is stuff from net erm trailers or vids on utube yep that stuff lol. So its not gona be local media well sometimes it will be.

Its back, someone hacked a previous version to not update so it cant be removed by the maker anymore and works except for super search i think. Probs find link on utube or reddit somewhere.
 
I just updated my XBMC for the first time in ages, and my god Conq is the best skin I've ever used!
So clean, minimal and perfect!
 
Whats a good advanced settings setup for the latest kodi rc1 which was recently released? I used to use tuxers or somit but it is messing up since moving to rc1 for me. Atm i just removed advanced settings through maintenance tool as zero catch never really works quickly enough.

Somit that is for a windows pc, not a setting for android which most through google seem to be for.

Have you enabled Passthrough, selected the correct device, and then enabled the HD formats?

I can't remember whether these options show if you're not in one of the more advanced settings modes.
 
I've got a minix neo x6, I've had it a few weeks as I've been setting it up for a friend, all was working fine icefilms, sportsdevil etc.

Then I went round to set it up on his TV, and all of a sudden there are no menus under the IceFilms add on. So you can see the list for popular, highly rated, a-z etc. But when you click into them, there are no movies!!

I looked online and seen a fix which involved disabling the metadata. But this didn't fix it either. I rebooted a few times, and it worked briefly, but then a few minutes later the same problem occurred.

Any tips?

Yep, don't understand why its not working. Version 12 works but 13 on onwards I only get PCM not DTS or 5.1.
 
It could be that Windows doesn't believe that the device supports the HD formats.

Take a look through this thread at the troubleshooting.

It would be interesting to know what solved it, once you solve it :)
