****Official L.A Noire thread****

Surely you look at your evidence list before making your choice

What I'm saying is you can accuse them of lying, then it takes you to your evidence list and if you don't have something to accuse them with you can simply back out and choose one of the other options. It's an easy way to narrow it down. If you're like me then you don't remember every single piece of evidence you've picked up, and furthermore the game isn't exactly clear in what pieces of evidence can and can't be attributed to certain conversations. There's been times in the game where I've had a piece of evidence that links someone to a murder but the game hasn't accepted that as the "correct" piece of evidence for that conversation line.

But my point is that after they've said their piece and you get the T/D/L options you can look in your evidence before making a choice, and then if you have nothing, then you can pick one of the other options without having accused them of lying in the first place.

In terms of gameplay yes, but when you press Y to accuse them of lying, Phelps goes on a mini rampage, sometimes shouting in their face, then it goes to your notebook and if you haven't got what you need you press B and he just goes "Oh, my mistake" or "Just checking". It just spoils it a little bit for me. It would've made more sense if they'd added the whole I THINK YOU'RE A LYING MURDERER line after you'd chosen the evidence. For me it just broke the immersion a little bit because the majority of the dialogue in this game is excellent in my opinion.

Yeah, that is true... He does rather leap over the desk and start throttling them.

Just completed the A Slip of the Tongue DLC, tbh I can see why they left it off the game to begin with :p

I suspect The Naked City will be similar :(

I knew this game would be a flop, i told everyone to not go out and rush and buy it and look what happens, we get a repetitive game which people find it hard to play as its so boring.

Not sure that's the consensus of opinion tbh

Just go on all kinds of message boards to this game and all you see is people saying how board they are of it. I have it SEALED and im afraid to open it as ive been hearing its so linear and only worth 1 play through

I'm def going to get a refund

How about trying it yourself, rather than relying on the opinions of others?

I got onto my first case on Vice. Not played it in about a week. Really dont feel like going back to it. It's not that it is a bad game, I don't know what it is. As mentioned the voice tech in this is amazing and other games I see without it looks kind of weird now.

My thoughts exactly, just not involving enough for me, and the driving, do Rockstar intentionally make driving vehicles bad??

I thought the handling of the cars in the GTA games has been arcadey, but fun and with a good amount of variation between models. Cars in GTA usually handle how you'd expect them to, minivans are prone to tipping over, most of the sports cars have unique handling loosely based on their real life inspirations, there's the old 80's type cars that are nippy but not too great handling, the bikes are admittedly crap though.

In L.A Noire I find it to be the complete opposite, I know it's the 1940's but come on! I've yet to drive anything that felt any different to the previous car I'd been driving, except for the fire truck which is just like wrestling with a fat guy on rollerskates. -_-

I think you should sell your console and gaming PC while your at it.

I really like the game, but I'm getting so frustrated with the interrogations. I struggle to get more than half right. I don't know whether I'm just missing the point or what, but I can not get the hang of it.

My problem was that I paid more attention to their facial expressions, than I paid to what they were actually saying.
