Well, I thought it was time that there was an official sackboy thread, as I have yet to see one on my forum travels.

Game Overview

LittleBigPlanet 2 (commonly abbreviated as LBP2) is an upcoming puzzle platformer video game, centred around user-generated content. The game is developed by Media Molecule, published by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe for PlayStation 3 and was originally scheduled for release in November 2010 but was delayed until January 2011. The game will now be released in North America on 18 January 2011, in mainland Europe on 19 January 2011, in Australia and New Zealand on 20 January 2011 and in the UK and Ireland on 21 January 2011.
Unlike the first game, which was marketed as a platform game, LBP2 is being marketed as a "platform for games". It is a direct sequel to the critically acclaimed 2008 title LittleBigPlanet and the third game in the series following a PSP version released in 2009. Most of the more than 3 million levels created by users in the first game will carry-over and be playable and editable in LittleBigPlanet 2.

Players continue Sackboy's journey after the events of the first game and the portable version are brought to an end. An inter-dimensional vacuum cleaner appears over the skies of LittleBigPlanet and begins to suck up its inhabitants, including Sackboy. Larry Da Vinci, the leader of a semi-secret semi-organised group known as "The Alliance", comes to Sackboy's rescue saving him from what they call "The Negativitron." The organisation is dedicated to battling with "The Negativitron" and defeating it before it destroys Craftworld.

Preordered my copy last week - where did you get yours so early from? I see you're in the UK, the same as me.

Looking forward to this, gonna get up extra early Friday to go into town and get my copy :)

Expecting mine tomorrow....shame im working

I had mine delivered today from the highstreet video'game' store, with just standard delivery. Its not really mine though, its a late birthday present for my sister but i shall be playing it later all the same :D(in coop).

Hopefully she picks it up today, if not i will have to wait until tomorrow to have a bash

Am I the only person who thought that LPB was actually as dull as ditchwater? Worse still was the fact that the designers were relying more on the public to create levels, than doing it themselves. What's that all about?
Clearly I missed the point completely.

Fantastic game :) If anyone finds any levels they think others should play, let us know! There are some fantastic ones - Theres a really good Uncharted - Drakes Misfortune one, ill give the author shortly.

nope i hated it as well, thought it was a complete pos

Will hopefully be running into town tomorrrow to get this, Cant be bothered to wait for the posty.

I loved the first and this just looks twice as good. The story/single player mode was average, its the custom levels and the multiplayer where this game really shines. Give it a week and there will be hundreds of levels.

Stephen Fry still narrates this doesnt he?

Got mine this morning and am loving it so far. Getting some good swinging action on the grappling hook can be a bit tricky though....

I thought it was fun for a few minutes then meh, crap. I don't want to spend days creating levels, I just want to play a game :p

I can see the appeal but it's not for me.
