Just had a bash. Originally I was using Luigi and the standard kart, and I had a better driving line and took corners better but on straights your car just kept coming back and I couldn't really get near it after the first lap.

Then I switched to the same setup as you (Wario etc) and just beat it by just under 2 seconds. The first few corners is where I saved the most time as you took them quite wide.

Addicted to this stupid game atm :p Trust it to come out in the final few weeks of uni :(

Think I could probably shave some time off it as I havn't bothered trying manual yet and I think I missed one of the speed boosts on one lap. For anyone interested the challenge is on Luigi's Circuit.

Send your ghost back at me mate, I know it was beatable as the laps were far from perfect but it was a bench mark to kick stuff off. :)
i'll be up for some games online later lads.
 
Will add everyone else now and give the times trials a go.

Got 1:20:345 on my second go. How do I upload it to you?
