You were playing with me? Those rainbow road tool just picked a heavy fast kart and picked rainbow road as fast, heavy karts do well as no one can boost.
On one of the courses I got nailed by 2 blue shells in a row followed by a bullet bill that knocked me off making me finish in 10thish place before I could move.
That REALLY made me swear, ******* game!

Yeah, I nearly had you on DK's Jungle Parkway until I got blue shelled on the last lap and either you or Ripper/Stevo (you two were a couple of seconds behind me) spanked me with, like, 3 red shells and I came in second. I also came second after you on GBA Boswer Castle 3.
The luck element is increasingly frustrating. It'd be nice if you could set up private rooms and customise which items people get and so on.
That was me. I would have been hit by a blue shell when I overtook you but I was on the air boost part. I got annoyed that race as I caught you up so many times only to be hit with 3 red shells/bullet bills/stars!
You can turn items off in private games. It's a shame you can't specify which items are on or I'd have lightening, 1 red shell, 1/3 green shells, 1 mushroom and 1/3 bananas on only.
