----------Official Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Thread----------

going from GT5 to NFS is a massive change in car handling/controls, i think ill wait till im completely done with GT5 before moving onto this :)

Thought exactly the same myself. Really want to play this game, got it a few weeks ago, but yet to really give a good go as it feels so different to GT5.

Don't think it'll be long now though:D

Padding out my friends list certainly helped improve the sp, though there are still a few too many time trials for my liking. Ive been playing a lot of the multiplayer over the past few days though and its terrific, hot pursuit mode multiplayer is the most fun Ive had online in quite a while :D.

Picked this up with some Christmas money...

Bit disappointed it's not a true open world, as I loved that in Burnout Paradise. On the other hand, it's great to see properly licensed cars in there. I'm enjoying it so far. Only at level 3 racer, level 2 cop, but it's going well. I reckon I'll be able to get fairly into it. There is some rubber banding, but I guess the trick is to get into a position where you can boost past people.

Quite pleased that there's fewer online achievements than in Burnout Paradise... that game was silly for them.

I finished this up last week and did enjoy the game but the cheating AI really lets this game down, it can make it incredibly frustrating at times. Still, I did enjoy it and much preferred the cop campaign, also found that one easier than the racer one or maybe it was I'd just been playing a lot by the time I did the cop career and was better at the game :p

I suck balls at the time trials, particularly as a cop where you get the penalties for bumping into things.

I love the hot pursuits and the interceptors though... I've got some proper silly times on those. I managed an interceptor in 33 seconds the other day, which put me straight to the top of the speedwall. I doubt that'll get beaten in a hurry.

I've made it to level 14 on each career now. Got lots of bronzes and not many golds. Doubt I'll ever manage the all gold achievements, but the rest look do-able...

Picked this up and have been playing it for a few hours and at first it was superb but now its getting tedious and frustrating. The controls are horrid I know its not a sim but the controls really let it down for me..

Going to give it a bit longer but so far its not for me...

Just got all golds and all distinctions on this but I'm still only level 17 cop and level 19 racer.

Does anyone still play?

I was playing online a bit the other night. Not that many players (on 360) it seems though, and most people in the pursuit modes seem to have discovered that constantly ramming you after you've crashed wrecks you completely. Great.

Anyone tried any of the new DLC?

I've downloaded all the DLC packs for this.. and they all are pretty good but dont add much to the game as a whole.

I think that, while the cars are a good addition, there needs to be extra tracks added.

The Veyron Supersport and Gumpert are great additions.. as is the Elemento Lambo from the Lambo pack..

Basically the only other real thing of note is the Armed and Dangerous game mode which is pretty fun.. it adds an extra dimension to the way you think about playing online..

Are the packs worth the cash?
Yes.

But dont expect the game to change that much :)

Any more info on the DLC? Noticed its going cheap on PSN, bought the game ages ago but only just unwrapped it.

ps3ud0

The DLC is good for some easy GS/trophies if that's your thing! I've only really played the Supersports so far, though. The Gumpert Apollo is class.
