Official Nvidia 162.18's released XP/2000

Hmm, Purevideo Vista only for now, seems they want same as MS, us all on Vista, as MS only added the function to WMP11 for Vista not WMP11 for XP, need to use WMP10 + 2 hotfixes for that to work.

Ok,

Have just installed these and though I've not carried out any testing there seemed to be on my PC an install bug.

When the drivers asked to carry out a reboot and then restarted Windows, XP didn't correctly load up.

Couldn't get access to my desktop or applications via the Start button.

Had to kill XP via Task Manager and then the next time everything things seems to be fine on the basic XP front, will be trying some games etc to see if they are stable

Oh dear they killed XP :D

Been using the beta version of these for the past 10 days or so and have no problems to report. Oh and yeah they did get rid of the Lost Planet lock up bug some were having (inc me).

Any point getting these over the beta one's? I've been running the beta's for awhile now, but would upgrade them if there were some improvements again. :)

They seem fine to me, ran 06 and got around same score as the beta's, gona test some games later, but i always stick the officials on as they normally do have some last minute changes/fixes over the beta ones , so ive heard anyway. :)

I saw someone on some other forums (guru/nvidia) saying the same thing as the guy above, so I don't think i'll install them yet.

Does anyone know if they improve directdraw performance? I've been getting really bad fps in half-life1 and neverwinter nights 1.

Is it ok to install over old drivers? Nvidia says to uninstall the old ones with add/remove but I can't see them on the list!

For some strange reason nvidia.com won't work on this computer(@ my girls place), anything particularly interesting in this one?

Typical, I downloaded 94.24 drivers on the Saturday 21st (can't remember what they were dated). Did a format and re-install yesterday. This package use the same basic drivers as the package I've used?
