***Official OCUK Deadlift Challenge***

Turns out our school gym has been closed for this week  and afterwards I'm on easter holiday for 3 weeks so wont to be able to do the 1.5xBW or 2xBW. My 1x BW is being uploaded now, I really didn't pace myself well on it, I'll do a much better one some time next week i think

EDIT: Ok the 23rd might be pushing it on the time - it was checking my phone to see how long i had left and got a last one out, but it's for you to judge:

Bummer!

I'm not going to pace myself for the BW attempt. Going to be like a dog out the blocks!

Looks like a good clean 23 there neon.uk. Timed it on my phone and was within the 60 seconds. Nice work, good form from what I could see.

What does the bar weigh? Spindlelock ones like that are around 6KG?

Edit: You'll find using an oly bar & plates easier as it's not such a deep deadlift.

Nah, it's a surprisingly light bar, so i would say around 2kg which puts the total weight pretty much on my BW.

Hahaha ditto!

If I can go beyond a minute I will do so - I don't think it should be a rule. It is a test of endurance after all.

My hand isn't looking good, just hope my blood blisters clear up soon!

I'm in :p
the gym has only got a smith machine but my 1 rep max tonight was 80kg :)
I weight 70 kg so pretty happy with that.

Its increased from January where it was 45 kg

I have roughly a 1.5 inch thick piece of wood either side under the plates to make it easier to whack the plates on and off, is this alowed? Or would you guys prefer I take it straight off the deck? I'm all for chalk and straps. I'll start this when I get my laptop replaced so I can post up a YouTube video as I only have my phone to post from!

I haven't got a problem providing you were also stood on a peice of wood or some kind of platform so as to even it out. If that makes sense.

Otherwise you've not got quite so far to lift :)

As long as my gym isn't too busy for me to prop the camera up I'll be having a crack tonight either at 1x or 1.5x

Legs are feeling OK after Sunday so should be good :D

Agreed. Shame not to see you on the non assisted league though monsieur Tank!

What you on about not on the non assisted league I'm only using chalk:confused:.

It's no problem I'll pull from the deck.
