*****OFFICIAL OcUK/JW IP35 Pro THREAD*****

Marks out of 10 for this mobo?

I hardly think I'm the best person to ask at the moment. I'm annoyed because it just won't clock a quadcore and I don't have a dual-core without disassembling my HTPC. It doesn't have RAID, it doesn't really look like it has SATA II, the BIOS is BETA at best (remember the odd VGA options that I didn't understand before? They're options for the onboard graphics adapter (it doesn't have one), plus if you want to set the RAM timings, the options just don't go high enough, plus I genuinely think the CPU hardware timing clock wanders. If you go into the BIOS and lift the chipset or CPU FSB voltage options the Northbridge heatsink is totally overwhelmed etc. etc.

I'm not well disposed to it at the moment. I certainly wouldn't recommend it to an enthusiast user. The question is - will OcUK take it back?

 doesn't sound to good then..

Had a fiddle with mine last night for a bit

that with all voltages a default apart from vdimm. It should go higher quite easily.

Easier than falling off a log
Hi WJA96, It took me a few minutes to work out this board isn't the *ABIT* IP35 Pro :o

Oh silly me, anyway this boards looks really affordable so I look forward to your results. . .

OcUK Value IP35 Pro Intel P35

£64.61 inc VAT

P.S: you may wanna chuck a link to the overclockers product page in the opening post, I'm sure Gibbo will appreciate it!

That is without doubt the most cutdown list of accessories I have even seen, what is there, a flat ribbon IDE cable, one SATA cable and one molex to SATA power adapter?

Is there a sticker! :p

you are welcomed to suggest some critical accessories that you think should be included with the value board but missed currently.

No worries Wayne - I'm sure you'll catch up quickly.

Nope - no sticker.

giving yourself a few more days before drawing the conclusion might be more fair...especially for ocing quad...:(
it is not targeted for WR breaking ocing, it is targeted to provide a reasonable overclocking for budgeted users...
I wouldn't recommend this board to a user who is looking for extreme overclocking too.

ICH9 (only with IDE mode): SATA II 3.0 Gb/s HDD in Windows will be displayed as UDMA Mode 5/6

ICH9R (IDE mode): SATA II 3.0 Gb/s HDD in Windows will be displayed as UDMA Mode 5/6

ICH9R (AHCI mode): you won't be able to view your HDD mode status directly.

ICH9R (RAID mode): you will see the SATA RAID controller.

I think you should be quite familiar with that, for you have RAID array experience before I believe.

added: screen shots for easy reference.

9 and 9R @ AHCI
